If power to the unit then most likely the machine control went bad and would need to be replaced. There are no fuses or reset buttons. Please contact me if you need further help or leave feedback if appropriate as that is how I get paid. Thanks for letting me help you!

Kenmore 110-88752793 washer dryer. Tub filled up for the rinse cycle and then stopped. Tried turning on the dryer and that has no power either. Cycled the circuit breaker. Still nothing. Any ideas?

The circuit that supplies your washer and dryer may also have an in-line GFI outlet which may have tripped. Even though you have cycled the circuit breaker you would also have to reset the GFI outlet as well. Good luck.

How to reset the program for Toshiba washing machine AW-SD150S? I am having error code EL. Cannot operate. Please help!!!

To reset the washing machine:

Press POWER to turn the washer off
Unplug the washer from the power outlet. If the outlet cannot be reached, turn the circuit breaker to the unit off.
With the power disabled to the washer, press and hold the START/PAUSE button for 5 seconds.
Plug the washer back in, or turn the circuit breaker back on.

My condo came with an already stacked electric washer and dryer combo which only required one 3 prong outlet. Now that we want to replace the broken machine to a stackabled front loading washer dryer,...

If the "3-prong" outlet to which you refer is a standard 110V outlet then adding another is very straightforward. It is quite common, though, for dryers to require a 220V outlet which is a different deal entirely (washers normally require only 110V). If that's the case (one needs 110, the other needs 220) then you probably want to consult a handy neighbor or a pro. If both need 110, then the first potential complicating factor is the size of the junction box the outlet is in. If it's a 2-gang box with one outlet in it, adding another outlet is easy - just add it to the box. If it's a 1-gang box (i.e., it's filled by the one outlet) then you'll have to replace the box before adding an outlet and again you'd probably want to enlist a handy neighbor or pro to help. The second potential complicating factor is the size of the breaker. If both machines want 110 and you add an outlet you might - *might* - be overloading the circuit (without knowing what machines you're talking about, it's an open question), in which case you'd have to add another circuit to the box for the additional outlet - again, a handy neighbor or pro can help with that.

So, in summary: if both machines use a standard 110V 3-prong plug adding another outlet is usually simple - you could even use a heavy-duty outlet multiplier. If either machine needs 220, see a pro or a DIYer.

As to what getting a pro might cost: I'm sorry, I have no idea. That depends on where you are and how difficult the job is. I can't even give you an estimate of how much it would cost me here 'cause I do all that sort of stuff myself.

I hope this was helpful to you, Helen! Good luck!

I have a kenmore Elite dryer it was working fine than blew the circuit breaker, I unpluged it reset the breaker pluged it back it and it sparked and blew the breaker again. I disconnect the motor in the...

If the dryer is tripping the circuit breaker, it's possible that the circuit breaker itself is malfunctioning. or a wire is loose to breaker.
There could be a loose connection in the outlet. A loose connection in the outlet could consist of wiring that is not functioning and is unable to properly manage current. The current needed by the dryer is being mishandled by the loosely connected outlet and drawing more power from the electrical system, tripping the circuit breaker. check outlet to find out !

Washer stopped mid-cycle, water in the bottom of the tub. Circuit breaker popped due to over-load. Reset breaker and it immediately popped again. Could this be cause by a jam in the grinder assembly?

My dishwasher just quit mid cycle. (still has water in it) It is a whirlpool partner 1. I checked the breaker and it wasn't tripped... but i reset it anyways. When I tried the dishwasher again it worked for a second and turned off. I have done reading about the thermo fuse but can't find it. Not sure how big of a problem this is.
Dishwasher is 5 years old.

Thanks,
Dale

Power to the outlet, but apparently no power at the touch pad - it is non responsive with no indicator lights on.

1. No power to the washer
Make sure there's power getting to the washer. Check for a tripped circuit breaker or a blown fuse. Check the wall socket for power. Sometimes the power cord disconnects at the washer, if this is the case, the wiring must be repaired or replaced.

2. Lid switch
The washing machine may not function if the lid switch is defective. The switch is usually located near the door. Replace if found defective.

If all the above checks out OK, replace the touch pad.
