Internet Access to Various Websites is Hit or Miss
I'm having issues getting onto various websites. For example, I can't access the Yahoo US website, even though Yahoo Mail and My Yahoo both work fine. I have issues on other, freely-accessible, non-password enabled websites, seemingly at random. My internet connection is otherwise fine and if I can get to a website, everything works great. I've been having this problem for about 1 month now. Thoughts?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Are you able to access other websites?
Are you able to access facebook on another PC/laptop/phone that is connected to your network?
If you can access other websites but not facebook, give your internet provider a call. They might be blocking it (I don't know why they would though).
Try using a proxy website such as: anonymouse.org/
Recently there have been problems with systems running Trend Micro 16 Internet Security blocking access to the Internet after an on line update.
SO far the simplest resolution I have found for this issue is to disable the Trend Micro Firewall, and enable this Windows Firewall. This restores access to the Internet in the normal mode and has no effect on the Antivirus Component of the software suite.
Trend has published the following fixes, but as yet I have not had any success using them.
It is unfortunate that Yahoo mail has frozen up. Try restarting (or a hard shut down and then turning on) the computer and check if the same issue happens. Also check if other websites also have the same issue.
Can you elaborate on the question?
Is your profile missing? Is it a connection problem? What do you mean it is 'off'?
Recently Facebook has experienced connection problems with some internet service providers such as CLEAR. The outage started Nov 26th and is not yet resolved as of Dec 1st. The outage is also noticeable with other websites such as Craig's list and yahoo.
If you are having trouble accessing news feeds on any of these sites the issue is probably not with your computer or device. It is the host server that connects to your internet service provider. Therefore it is not something that you will be able to fix.
There are several outages affecting over 100 different websites right now. Users in the Central and Western US will be affected as well as parts of Europe. There is a 60% chance it is affecting you if you are in one of these areas.
Best course of action is to contact your internet service provider and let them know what sites you cannot access, then ask if they know how long the outage will last.
