Problem with the video inputs....

If you turn off the tv, you have to flick between the inputs (sometimes for up to an hour) to get picture back. only when it is powered off other then, that if u leave it on its fine. when its doing that the screen is kinda greenish and jumpy and sometimes u get colored bars.

Your problem is the MICOM board. It is a standup board the plugs into the main board. It is basically the "brains" of the tv. It does all of your video processing, video switching, etc. It is also a very expensive board (around $400).

My 32inch lcd tv keeps flickering it started all the sudden

TRY THIS

    • 1 Turn the TV off with the front-mounted power button, not the remote. Unplug the TV's power cord from the wall outlet. Let an hour pass before plugging the cord back into the wall outlet. Turn the TV back on with the front-mounted power button and wait until it has fully restarted. Bring up a TV channel to see if the image being presented on the LCD screen is no longer flickering. A momentary power surge can cause the circuitry inside the LG-brand LCD TV to function erratically.
    • 2 Unplug the video cable from the video connection on the back or side panel of the LG TV. If more than one video cable is connected to the TV, disconnect all of them. Disconnect the other end of the video cable from the video source device that it's attached to -- a DVD or Blu-ray player, or a satellite receiver or cable box. Blow off the connections on the video source device and on the back or side panel of the TV with bursts of compressed air. Reinsert one end of the video cable into the video source device and the other end into the video input that it was connected to. Turn the TV back on with is remote to see if the picture is now free of flickering. A loose or partially connected video cable can cause the LCD TV's screen to flicker when presenting an image.
    • 3 Turn the TV off and unplug its power cord from the wall outlet. Place a power conditioner next to the wall outlet. Plug the power conditioner's power cord into the wall outlet. Plug the TV's power cord into one of the AC sockets on the power conditioner. Turn the power conditioner on. Turn the TV on to see if the picture is now free of flickering. The RF signals in the electric line that the LG TV is drawing power from can cause flicking through interference patterns being generated.

Condensation on the circuits needs drying off by using the TV. There maybe also contact resistance preblems which needs vibration from the side of the TV to get it working right.

When watching a dvd, screen goes black and the word video appears on the screen in the upper right hand corner. Picture sometimes comes back, and then goes out again.

It sounds like your TV/monitor is losing the video feed. That's why it displays 'Video' - the label assigned to the input - so you'll know the TV is turned on but missing the input. You would get the same response from the TV if you turned the DVD off. I'd look at the integrity of the video connection from the DVD.

The picture of our jvc LT-46FN97 will suddenly distort

Sounds to me like the digital pixeling that occurs with a weak signal. You have not identified whether this happens on broadcast/antenna TV, cable or satellite service, or a video input such as a DVD. This can be a common problem if you have a weak signal on any of those inputs. In any case, blowing out the dust will not help.
