Brother in law gave me his pit bike for my son.Sat around for a year.He lost the key for bike. looking for a key switch replacement or at least a temporary bypass til I can get one.

Remove the ignition switch and get to the bottom of the switch. There will be two letters and two numbers if I recall correctly. The dealer can get you a new key by referencing the numbers.

try dismantling the carb, and/or carbs, clean the bowl, and the jets, youve got plugged orrifaces somewhere!!!! good luck!

sounds like a wire has been added the wrong way or wires have damage, switch could be the culprit. Does the kill switch work? I would be checking all wires and the conectors for heat damage (melting).And fuses for all circuts. if low beam is used does key work to stop engine?

Your ignition switch , helmet lock , and gas cap have key codes on them. Example #345A56 the last three letters or digits are the key code #A56 in this case. You can take off your ignition switch and take it to a dealer or locksmith and they can make you a key from the code. Check your owners manual in case your dealer was nice enough to write it down for you.

do u have the head torqued to specs!--may hav other leaks also--fuel area needs ajust but get the coolant problem fixed soon before bearings fry--get a clymer manual!
