Hi - I believe the problem is the power module located on the rear of the machine. I have not done work on F&Paykels for a long time.
Whats happenning is the controls is picking up an error with the input power supply, the modules perhaps got an intyermittent issue.
Try this turn your fridge off & back on again - the E522B will start to beep indicating the lose of power which is exactly whats happening to the unit at the moment, to eliminate the beeps you reset with the temp button on the inside.
Try the following if you opened the cover and unit beeps. This will happen if you set up the coffee maker and then decide that you want to add more water and coffee before starting it:
You will notice that there is a small white (typically) button on the clear cover of the coffee grinder. When it is in place and the lid is closed, the button depresses a safety interlock inside a small plastic post to prevent the grinder from working without the clear cover on and the lid closed. Quite sensible from a safety perspective. Depress the white button to reset the switch or take a pen and carefully do the same. The beeping should stop.
I have just solved it by holding down the power on button and then pressing the Button 'c' fro the handbook which on some is the right hand of the reset button combination or the rinse only function. It starts to flash after a short while then goes through the different beeps -quiet, medium, loud and then yes at bleeding last!!! OFF
