download the free app ringdroid in the app market.connect g1 to computer and mount .drag music into music folder.then open rigdroid.the music you dragged into folder should be here.cut the waveform however you want then save. now you can go to settings and under sound and display you can assign your newly made ring tone to your default tone.

ALRIGHT SO WHAT U DO IS I KNO I KNO I TUNES ISNT A BIG HELP SO MY SUGGESTION IS DOWNLOAD LIMEWIRE IT SHOULD AUTOMATICALLY ASORB UR MUSIC U HAVE ON UR COMPUTER OK SO THEN U MOUNT UR PHONE AND DRAG FROM THERE I DO IT ALL THE TIME AND THEN INSIDE UR MUSIC PLAYER PLAY THE SONG PRESS MENU AND MAKE IT A FULL RINGTONE SIMPLE AS THAT RATE ME HIGH!
