Yes it can definately be reset with the service remote, all the newer models will reset with the mute and enter simultaneous buttons. I would try to call a local service center and see if they have the remote and how much they'd charge to come reset it. I know we charge a lot to come out, but if you brought the tv in (i know not the prefered method) we would just quick reset it for free. The mute + enter lamp reset is in no service manuals or training guides so I'm not positive it will work but I'd try it a few more times because I'm pretty sure it works on the wlcd models.
Hold mute on the remote and enter on the front panel of the tv simultaneously for 5 seconds. Make sure the remote is getting signal to the TV. This works on newer model zenith and lg digital projections.
I just found the solution on another model of Zenith TV. Hold the enter button down on the TV and the MUTE button on the remote. In approx. 5-7 seconds a screen will pop up asking if you want to reset the lamp timer. Hit the bullseye button in the middle of the arrows and it will reset. Worked perfectly.
press and hold the "enter" button on the TV, the press and hold the
"menu" button on the zenith remote-- after several seconds of holding
both buttons the option of re-setting the lamp came up. Hope this helps
Do you have a picture? If so the only way to reset this unit is to get a Zenith programmer remote. With this remote you can get into the service menu and reset the lamp timer and that will reset the unit.
