My Nokia N95 keeps freezing up , then switching off. I have put a few games on it , and quite a bit of music, and pictures also. There is 5 gigs memory left. It will freeze up and no buttons will work and then turn off, but will be ok after half a min. It normally does this either when listening to music or using the camera. The phone is almost new. please help - Thankyou, Regards, Ian.
All I can say is a HARD RESET will solve your problems(and eventually all your problems)! First backup the important stuff like the contacts, messages, apps, etc. using the Nokia Content Copier available from the Nokia PC Suite. Then switch off your phone. Now, press and hold the ' * - Star', '3', & 'Call - The Green key that you use to recieve a call' together and switch on your phone. Keep the above mentioned keys pressed till you see the "Select Region" screen.

Same it keeps frezing and restarting at random times and it mainly freezing when i want to go onto my gallery, it also sometimes when i knock my phone on it asks for the time and date which has happened quite alot recently its soo annoying but its happened to 2 of my friends aswell so there must be a fault with the phone
My advice is to download the latest firmware from Nokia website (which is version PR1.2) and install it through the USB cable provided to you. If this is something you can not personally do, please go to an authorised nokia service point and have this done for you. They should NOT charge you but ask about that before.
For the battery removal issue, there is a way to bypass this process. Please press the power on/off switch for about 10 seconds.
normally the device will unfreeze and go off without having to remove the battery. wait a few seconds and then you should be able to switch it on again.
guys if your xpress music phine doesnt start completely..this is what you must do... remove sim card/mem card put the charger atleast 1 minute to recharge the battery ... after 1 min. remove the charger and open your nokia phone it will start completely ..its proven just try it..
I would be more concerned as to the source you chose for the music and pictures you loaded onto your micro sd card, as depending upon the KIND of music and pictures and the tendency of such sources as you chose to provide your system with viruses..........
Remove the SD card, immediately and get your phone scanned for viruses along with your PC given the fact that all are apparently infected.
I had a customer with same problem as yours. However if you leave it for 45 mins then it became normal. We found out that she was keeping over 2000 text messages on her phone. IF this is true for you too, then try to connect it to Nokia PC Suite and from there delete all your text and otherfiles that use up the memory
