Just bought an HP Photosmart

just bought an HP Photosmart C7280 and am going thru initial set up.
Have got to the stage where insert paper which should then run trial page before i then move onto the wi fi set up
Unfortunately the page hasnt printed and the orange exclamation light is flashing with the message on the printer reading"incorrect ink cartridges"-the following ink cartridges cannot be used after device initialization and must be replaced

The dilemma i have is that i havent printed anything yet and dont want to replace them in case i damage the machine.

any suggestions as to what to do next??
