just bought an HP Photosmart C7280 and am going thru initial set up. Have got to the stage where insert paper which should then run trial page before i then move onto the wi fi set up Unfortunately the page hasnt printed and the orange exclamation light is flashing with the message on the printer reading"incorrect ink cartridges"-the following ink cartridges cannot be used after device initialization and must be replaced
The dilemma i have is that i havent printed anything yet and dont want to replace them in case i damage the machine.
Where did you buy the printer? Was it new? If you bought it from ebay, the seller has provided a new set of initialisation inks with a used printer. These inks only work with a printer which is brand new and completely unused. They mix with ink already in the system on first use and they cannot be used with another printer and cannot be used in a printer which has already gone through the initialisation process. There is however a work around. Let me know if you need it

There is ink but the light is blinking and not printing. When I open the cover the cartridge arrow will point the colour inkjet which is empty and it has been so since.
