1 Answer

Duplicate songs some how all of my songs duplcated on my mp3 player. I deleted as it was suggested and it worked for 1/2 of them but the duplicated songs are still there and they don't show up on MediaPlayer as even on my player. Is there a way just to start all over again and delete everything?

Re: duplicate songs

Firmware upgrade should solve your problem

These are the most common methods for recovering Sandisk's Sansa Mp3 Players. I have been almost universally successful in recovering Sansa players using one or a combination of these methods. These methods do not work if you are having synchronization or music format issues - they are for recovering a player that will not power up, freezes, flashes, is not recognized by the computer, and a host of other issues.

Reset the Sansa Player first. On most models, restart is done by holding the power button in for 15 seconds or longer. Check your specific manual to be sure. The manuals are available from the Sansa website if they have been misplaced.
Download the Sansa Recovery Tool from the Sansa website.
Format - Erases Everything: Connect your Sansa player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "Sansa 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.
Firmware Upgrade- Erases Everything: Get the latest firmware upgrade from Sansa - it updates the firmware and erases every song in the player all at once. Note: this method doesn't work if already have the latest firmware. Go to this website and click "Firmware Updater" to find out:
If these fail, then:
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.
If you get the problem where MTP Device keeps popping up continuously, uninstall the “MTP Device” by going to Start à Control Panel àSystem à Hardware à Device Manager (you computer may vary slightly, depending on Windows Version).
You may have to restart your computer after each of these methods to get them to work properly. Disconnect your Sansa player BEFORE shutting down your computer.

How do I delete duplicate songs on my Nano 4gb Ipod? How do I adjust the volume?

Using iTunes' "Show Duplicate Items" feature, you can locate and manually remove duplicate songs on your iTunes music library. Once the library is cleaned, you need only sync iTunes with your iPod to remove duplicates from your device as well. This guide takes iTunes 12 to remove song duplicates.
  1. In iTunes, click "View > Show Duplicate Items" in Music module;
  2. Compare the listed song duplicates upon artist, album, date added, genre, play count, size, bit rate, and more to determine which item to keep and which item to remove;
  3. Hold the "Ctrl" key and click each duplicate you wish to delete.
  4. Connect your iPhone 6 to PC, click your iPhone from the device list, hit "Music" and select "Sync" to sync your library using your existing sync settings.
By doing this, you could delete duplicate songs on iPod from your iTunes. But it will eat a lot time of you. To save your time, let's come to the 2nd method - using 3rd-party iTunes cleaner program.

I couldn't delete song files from T.sonic 850. I connect it to my computer thru USB & when i delete the song files, it get duplicated & appear as 0MB. when i play the player, those songs appeared...

I had this exact problem as well. The solution was to allow Windows to "Scan and Repair" the file system. The scan will likely detect all the duplicate 0-byte files created as you tried to delete files, and will remove these. In addition it should resolve the underlying problem such that you can now delete files normally without creating more of these 0-byte duplicates.

Duplicating some files

Try to erase files in windows explorer, your player should be visible when you click on "My computer". Just find "media" subfolder in it and find duplicated songs. If this won't work you can try to erase duplicated files with winamp, but you need version 5.5 or later for this. Find "portable" section in winamp media library and you should see samsung k3 in this section. Then just find duplicated file, right click on it and choose "remove from device". Hope this can help.

Duplicate Songs

I had this problem and I just backed up all the music, deleted it all from the mp3 player, and put it back on, and the duplicates were gone. There may be a more efficient solution, but hey it works (for me it did at least)
