Question about Brother MFC 7420 All-In-One Laser Printer

Can't open the back cover of printer DCP-130

I have a paper jam. I cannot get the paper out from the from the front and need to get the back cover off. I cannot find a way to open it. Any suggestions? I would be grateful for any help.

Yes!the back is pretty tite but give a good hard pull and it will open

How to Clear the Paper Jam Message from the Brother dcp-j315w Printer Display

At the back of the printer there is a door normally with a latch. You slide that as far as possible and open the door and can easily pull the jammed paper out. If that doesn't work open the front panel as how you open to replace the cardrige and you will see the jammed paper and gently pull it out.

Two sheets wedged up tightly in the first feed rollers from bottom tray. Had my nose in every available orifice of the cursed thing and still can't clear it. I beg at your knees. Steve


To remove paper jam from your Brother printer, follow the steps given below.

  • Open the front cover
  • Slowly take out the drum unit and the toner cartridge assembly
  • Open the back cover (as shown below)
  • Pull the Tab on the bottom right towards you
  • Pull the jammed paper out of the fuser unit. If the jammed paper cannot be pulled out eaisly, push the tab with one hand while you gently pull the paper out with the other hand
  • Close the back and front cover
  • Print a test page

Dcp 7020 "Back Cover Open" lights up even after it

Try doing a power reset.

Turn off the printer/Unplug it for a few minutes/Plug it back in/Turn it back on.

I have a paper jam

Relax my friend,don't worry.Your printer has two major sector one is paper feed sector or other is fixing problem is fixing unite there are a sensor it is displace or broken leg.
You try to several time to open it but no you need help an authorized dealer or service center.

Brother DCP-145C. Paper jam removed. Light keeps flashing. How can I switch it off? HELP!

There will still be some scrap of paper in the machine. Get a torch and get in there. It's the only way, unless you call tech guy

back of the unit has a hinge to open and remove mall paper prts jammed in. if all paper in the front after opening black cover-then pull hard towards you....
