Question about E.Digital MXP100 MP3 Player

1 Answer

Drivers won't load

I recently purchased a new MXP100 and when I try to load the drivers which are on a CD-R onto my Windows XP it comes up with the message "Cannot install this hardware The driver cannot be installed because it is either not digitally signed or not signed in the appropriate manner Contact your hardware vendor." I have contacted the seller and he has given me things to try i.e log in as the administrator and make changes in there, but still no joy same ol' message. In the help files it tells me to go into the NEW HARDWARE WIZARD and to click on the continue anyway when it shows The Unsigned Driver Found dialog appears, but it does not give me this option. Please Please somebody help me I'm going nuts trying to get this thing loaded with music.

You dont need the drivers untill after windows has been installed....However... If windows does not pick your network adapter up, you will need to load these before you can get online.
Download all the drivers for the motherboard and just Burn them onto a cd as a data disc, so you have them ready

HP 520 Notebook. Shuts down before installing new OS.

I agree a clean install is always the better, fresh start J
OK it sounds like missing drivers, what you have to do is create a new installation CD that will load the drivers for your laptop as it boots. I haven’t try this method with windows 7, but I know it works well with Windows XP. Try and create a new Windows XP CD with the drivers see: http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/view/web/35/
The start a new installation with this Windows XP CD and reformat you computer, after that you can do a new upgrade to windows 7

Dell Resource CD - not working in Windows XP SP3 version

You are using the Dell Resource CD provided by the manufacturer. This CD may not work with new versions of Internet Explorer that come with SP3 installations (if you reinstalled from a Windows XP CD not provided by Dell or if you did the Microsoft SP3 update).
You're only solution would be to use your "Service Tag" number underneath, for laptops (or on the back/side for Desktops), of your computer and go to http://support.dell.com to download the drivers for your specific system. If this computer doesn't have the drivers for you to be able to go to the internet, use a second computer and go to the site. Then download the individual drivers listed (the latest dated drivers will work best).
Once you've downloaded mainly the Video, Network, Audio drivers, use a USB Flash drive (sometimes called USB Key, USB pen drive, USB drive, etc) and copy what's been downloaded onto it. Do not double click on the files while they're on the second computer.
Once on the machine with Windows XP SP3, double click on each downloaded file (1 at a time) and follow the on-screen insctructions to install the driver. You should be fine afterwards. :) Let us know how it goes, and rate us. :)

Asus P4S800D-X mobo and sata hdd problem

I believe you need to load in the SiS 180 RAID controller for this MOBO during the Windows Install.

Do this by loading the driver onto a floppy and pressing F6 when told to do so by the windows install.

HP office jet 4300

Unless you purchased the printer recently, you'll need to download the drivers from HP's website for windows Vista. The CD that came with the printer likely only has the XP drivers on it.

Assuming this is a 4315, the following link will take you directly to the drivers download page. Otherwise search for your specific model on Hp's website to download the vista dirvers.

Changing from windows XP to Vista

Which camera do you have? Unfortunately some hardware vendors never supplied their customers with WinVista drivers. You might try the WinXP drivers anyways with your Vista OS.

Trying to install windows xp on SATA hdd wd raptor 74 g , i can see it in biosĀ  but can`t install windows on it, i boot the cd with data lifeguard tool from western digital but nothing....need help

you need to put the sata drivers onto a floppy disk and when it asks during the xp setup do you want to install any 3rd party drivers say yes and load the drivers from the floppy. The sata drivers with the floppy generator should be on the drivers cd you recieved.
