Question about E.Digital MXP100 MP3 Player

1 Answer

Drivers won't load

I recently purchased a new MXP100 and when I try to load the drivers which are on a CD-R onto my Windows XP it comes up with the message "Cannot install this hardware The driver cannot be installed because it is either not digitally signed or not signed in the appropriate manner Contact your hardware vendor." I have contacted the seller and he has given me things to try i.e log in as the administrator and make changes in there, but still no joy same ol' message. In the help files it tells me to go into the NEW HARDWARE WIZARD and to click on the continue anyway when it shows The Unsigned Driver Found dialog appears, but it does not give me this option. Please Please somebody help me I'm going nuts trying to get this thing loaded with music.

MTP Device not recognised

You should not need a driver if you using Windows XP or Vista.
Windows will recognize the driver as a Mass storage device.

but you can also try this website.

Hope it helps

if You're running Windows XP or Vista, just plug it into your PC. It should automatically load the drivers for it.

Sync notice...?

If your using XP, go to the Windows Media Player and load the CD. You will see a Sync Icon. When you click on it will run and then give you a sync complete. Plug in your Sansa to the usb port and load from the Windows Media Player.

Need PC software to connect to the player

I used to sell eDigital products, particularly the Treos. I have put Music Explorer plus the MXP 100 firmware update on my webspace for a limited time: Music Explorer: MXP100 firmware: Here is a shameless plug for my two auctions for a brand new Treo 10 and 2GB MXP100: Cheers, Benedict.
