Question about Computers & Internet
I am using HP XW4300 workstation, I want to know where to get the digital audio out. I heard that it supports 7.1 digital audio output. Which model digital receiver will be suitable for it. A digital receiver upto preamp stage is enough. Please help me with this.
Right, it uses a fiber optic cable that connects to the "Digital Out" on your computer. There is "harmonic distortion" with the use of the RCA cables; the louder the output volume the greater the distortion. When using the "Digital Audio Cable" the is only pure data signal, aka DSP (Digital Signal Processing), because the two devices communicate with Infrared light flashes through the fiber optic cable; trust me you can hear the difference. You may need to buy one of those cables if your receiver did not come with one.
