hi,1. first of all please check whether the mute options is checked or unchecked.2. After that go to device manager and check whether audio drivers are there or not. - Try to plug in the headphone and check whether the sound is coming or notIf there is no sound coming out of your speakers, but the headphone jack plays sound, there may be something wrong with your speakers. If this is the case, you can either use headphones or external speakers, or attempt to use the laptop's warranty to get HP to fix the speakers. Plugging and unplugging a headphone from the jack several times has supposedly caused some users' speakers to start playing sound again. 3. If the drivers are not there then go ahead install the drivers from the hp website by using the product of your computer.4. If the problem still exists then try to update the bios of your computer with the l latest version.5. Try to run the recovery of the computer and check after that.
If the sound is coming from headphone jack then its mean that the drivers and windows installed correctly, you may check the speakers and speakers connection of your laptop. the speaker jack may be loosen or speakers may gone faulty.
Hope this helps, if so do rate the solution
It sounds to me that the speakers have not been plugged back in on the mother board. Don't forget to load the system drivers. I find it best to download the latest drivers from HP. Hope this fixes your problem
Steps to be followed:
1. check whether audio driver is installed properly ? if not install audio driver & check 2. check audio setting in control panel & confirm 3. connect external speaker in laptop and check whether sound is coming? if sound is coming then ur laptop internal speaker need replacement 4. if there is no sound in external speaker then need to check ur motherboard or sound card. All the best.
Try going to Device Manager: - Click on the Start button - Look for Computer, or My Computer, and right-click on it - In the menu that pops up, choose Manage - A window named Computer Management comes up - On the left pane, look for Device Manager and click on it - The right pane will show you the Devices on your system. The sound drivers go under the "Sound, video & game controllers" section
Under this section, look for any devices that have a yellow or red sign on them. This would indicate a problem with that device. It would most likely be caused by a driver problem. Either a wrong driver, or a corrupt install. Be sure you have the right driver and try installing again.
If you don't see any devices there with yellow or red symbols, it could indicate a hardware problem, e.g. loose internal speaker cable.
No, you need not to install soud/audio driver if its work with external speakers. Its seems that the internal speaker of your laptop has got damaged. So you shuld call your vendor for service. If you are in warranty it will be free for you.
