My vado is turned off and will not turn on, even when plugged in and red light is on

It was slightly dropped, but it had a case on, and it will not show anything on the screen though it is fully charged, the red light to signal recording is on

This camera is the MOST frustrating piece of "technology" ever. I've tried everything to fix this issue. Replacing the battery, new firmware, etc. NEVER again will i buy any product from Creative. That's how much trouble this camcorder has given me. Solution=Throw it away and buy a GoPro.

SOURCE: My Vado HD would not

You have to pull the battery and then put it back in. Don't plug it into the computer unless its on, otherwise it won't turn on when you unplug it.........not sure why it does that.

My wife recently picked up a VADO HD video camera, and it simply won't turn on. The image of a charged battery appears on the camera's screen, but the camera itself will not turn on when the "On"...

Pull the battery. Put the battery back in. Press on. Don't walk away. Why? Because in 3 minutes of inactivity, it goes to a standby mode. If you succeed in getting it on, while it is on, plug in into the computer. Avoid plugging it into the computer when it is off.

It might have a bad battery even it it appears fully charged. The following source may have a battery for this:

I had the red ring of death and fixed my xbox 360 a couple of times with removing the heat sinks and appling silver artic 5 and restarting ...this time I turn it on and get green lights and the fan goes on...

This Is caused by one of the two heat sinks not
making full contact to the tops of the chips.

It is likely that when you screwed down the heat sink
you got a slight gap and the heatsink compound
seeped away from the gap creating a air pocket.

Open the console and tilt the C.P.U's heatsink from side to
side as you turn it on and you should find a sweet spot
where the fan speed will start to drop. If that's the case
then simply remove and reinstall ,making sure its flush
with the chips

The second problem is the Internal thermocouple connection
under the G.P.U. has a open connection . in witch case you
will need to have the G.P.U. reflowed ( resolder ) back to the
board.

if you have any questions feel free to ask.

After dropping lacie: red light and recurring audible beep.

You can only hope that the drop has dislodged the drive from the internal connections in the case and has not damaged the drive. You'll have to figure out how to get the case apart.

Oven control, possibly thermostat or oven selector switch

my dacor ER36G oven will not ignite. The top range works perfectly. When I turn on the oven, I don't even hear the gas or the ignition sequence as I used to. The heat preset light just blinks and the oven will not engage. I have reset the circuit breakers just in case, but nothing works.
