Question about Punch Home Design Architectural Series 3000 (51100) for PC

1 Answer

Choosing Materials I have Punch! Home Design Architectural Series 4000, but since that wasn't a choice, and I figured AS 3000 couldn't be much different, I chose to submit my question in this category. My problem is that while in 3D view, I try to drag the materials I want from the side menu onto the walls, the bed, etc., but it doesn't work. Instead, the sky gets covered in that material! I am really zoomed in, and drag the material EXACTLY onto the surface I want, but it still colors the sky. I even bought a new program (the same one, Punch! HD AS 4000, just new) because I thought there was a permanent bug or something. It still doesn't work. I am very tired of having the sky turn into brown carpet every time I try to add a material to my room! Please answer if you have any idea what I'm doing wrong, or what's not working. Thank you, Jen

I have the same problem with the material drag and drop actually falling on a object behind the one I drop it on or the materials changes the sky or the grass. I have a new computer with graphics to support CAD. I can not get any benefit of software without this feature working and I will have to switch to something else.

I uploaded the latest update and it made no difference

Jen, Sounds like video display issues. Could be screen resolution/ color display. Check the display properties in Control Panel. If its 32bit try 16 bit. If the resolution is too high(or low)change accordingly and the refresh rate. If your display allows selecting default settings, select default and then make changes from there. 2nd (which should have been 1st) Is your video display adapter compatible? i.e do you have atleast the minimum recommended video card. 3rd. Update your video card drivers. Good Luck, Tim

Husband downloading upgrade

generally when this occures it has to do with an anti virus program running at the same time. with most programs from site that are not known to the computer the anti virus plays havoc. turn your anti virus program off. and try the download again. if this still happens then you have a registry error which could be caused by a configuration fault. then. click on the windows config wizard and have it reconfigure your cache and registry then download the program. remember to turn your anti virus afterward.. please rate this thanks

Punch Home Design Architectural series 3000 ver 12

The textures going to the sky / grass is a classical issue of a videocard problem
Try to follow these steps
1 - Go to the website of your video card manufacturer (it can be found using any search engine and the manufacturer's name and the card model). Look for downloads, and see if you have the latest version of driver software for your model of video card (you can find your current driver's version at Video Settings->Advanced->Adapter). If there is a newer one for your card and the operating system, you are running, download and install it following the manufacturer's directions.
2 - Click on Start->Run and type in "dxdiag", and click Run. The DirectX diagnostic will run, and tell you what version of DirectX you are currently using. Go out to www.microsoft.com/directx, and see what version is current. If your version is not current, read the install instructions, the system requirements, and the FAQ. It is recommended that you download the latest version and install it.
3 - Try to slowdwn the videpcard accelerations: To slow down accelerations--> click on an empty part of the windows Desktop, click on Settings->Advanced->Troubleshoot. Back the accelerations slider to the left, one level each time and see if the problem dissapears

Hope this helps
