Question about HP Office Equipment & Supplies

1 Answer

I just put in a new hp 57 tricolor printer cartridge brand new out of the package. When I print with it the red does not print at all. Is there something I can do to make it print or do I just need to get a new one?

Make sure the contacts on the cartridge are clean. If it doesn't do the trick, try a new cartridge.

I just new printer. But when i want to print using colour, the outcome is just red and blue colour, even the actual colour in the input is green,it will be come out in red colour. How i'm gone to fixed it??

If it is a brand new printer and you are using the host cartridges that came with the printer, then you may face this issue.

You need to try with another set of cartridge.
HP 60 Black Ink Cartridge : part no. CC640WN#140
HP 60 Tricolor Ink Cartridge : part no. CC643WN#140

You may place an order directly from HP ( 1-888-897-8561 OR http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/shopping/home.do

After you recv the cartridges, clean inside the printer with a lint free cloth or coffee filter, remove all tapes from the new cartridges.

Install the cartridges and this should resolve your problem.
However if this does not solve the problem, call 1 800 474 6836 for troubleshooting and/or replacement.

Magenta in tricolor not flowing

unplug printer cables, replug in
take cartridges out, put back in making sure sure nothing is obstructing the ink dispensary on the cartridges and that they're clean
look in the printer where the cartridges go, making sure nothing is blocking the ink
check the rollers to make sure no paper is caught inside the printer
turn on printer and try this
hope this works and good luck

Ink cartridge will go dry up if you don't use them. I would try cleaning the head and do some maintence on it. It looks to me that you have to buy a new black cartridge. I went through the same thing on mine.

I have a hp desk jet 5440 i put i a new tricolor

Make sure that your buying a new Tricolor as the same and Geniune too.
Only solution to this is put it properly inside your printer.
At first sometimes New Cartridge are being initial & calibrate by your printer before it works.
Power Off first your printer and put the cartridge inside. If the problem still exist then put back again your old cartridge and identify what is the problem occur before you put a new cartridge on it.
Good luck!

Hp photosmart 7350

The 7550 takes three cartridges 56(black) 57(tri-color) and 58 (photo).

If you replace the 57 but the 58 is also empty and still in its slot - you get green tinted photos.

So, check to see if you have the 58 photo cartridge still installed, and if it is out of ink. If so - remove the 58 - the printer will then default to "reserve mode" and you'll get better color.
