Question about Intel D945GTP Motherboard

1 Answer

D945GTP comes out of standby automatically

Running XP SP3. I put the system in standby and the system comes out of standby after a few seconds. I made sure wake on lan feature was turned off in the bios. I'm on the latest bios version ~5/07. Windows is up to date. Hibernation is turned on, but I can see the hibernate in the shutdown menu.

Any ideas?

You need the latest display driver for your graphics card.

Click here to download the drivers off the Nvidia website.

Enter the information in the fields as shown below;

Product Type: Geforce
Product Series: Geforce 8 Series
Product: 8400GS
Operating System: Select the operating system you are using. XP or 7 whichever it is.
Language: Choose your Language, English

Then click search and download and install the driver.

This should solve your problem!

Do do recommend sticking with XP as your current computer system will find it difficult to run Windows 7.

All the Best!

Hi There PCI Device & PCI Serial Port show exclamation errors Running Windows XP X64 bit

You need to download the Intel XP 64 bit drivers for this system.
This intel site will do it automatically for you. http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/highlights/dsktpboards/d945gtp
Look about 1/3 way down for Automatically detect and update drivers and software
If this answers your question, I'd appreciate 4 thumbs. I do this for fun and do not get paid.

Intel MB D945GTP

give it 3 hours with no P/S plugged in, it might come back up. I just read a similar post. Dies when you unplug anything "active" from mobo, like fan, drive or floppy. MOBO senses voltage difference and shuts down.
