Coleman Evcon no fan when in heating mode

I have a Coleman Evcon Model BFU05012AX The cold air mode works fine, But, while in heating mode I get flame only for a few seconds and the main blower does not come on and the flame goes out. It cycles through this three times and then shuts off.

With 4 successful demand tests it worked every time after cleaning the flame proving device. I am sure that it will work tonight when it gets chilly. Thank you for your assistance.

May God Bless you and your service.

Sounds like your flame proving device is not proving the flame. It is located on the last burner looks like a piece of thick wire sitting right beside the last burner. To Save you about 50 bucks service call take some steel wool and very gently clean the carbon that has built up on the surface of the device. Should only take 4 or 5 strokes.

Main blower will delay when in heating mode as to allow the heat chamber to build up enough heat to trigger the fan switch.

look at the furnace and turn it on to see if the flames come on. Watch and see if they stay on for a period of time. If they come on then go out you may have a dirty flame sensor, if it goes out and then relights it may be a high limit switch getting weak. hope this helps.

Burner flame going out on windy days on Coleman Evcon LP furnace

This sounds like a bad heat exchanger. It is possible that you do not see the crack because the crack is closed when the heat exchanger is cold (or room temp). Allow the furnace to heat up, this will allow the expansion of the crack. Turn the power off and examine the heat exchanger while it is still hot.
