Glick, get a new one... gotta luv the defeatest attitudes... hehe, mind you, js may be right!!

.. If you've tried to reset the Zune (press and hold the Back button and then press the top of the Control pad until the Zune logo appears, then release) and it didn't work or do what it was s'posed to do, then drain the battery.
.. Leave the device disconnected from the computer. every 15 min or so, press the Play/Pause button to get the logo screen. Repeat 'til you're ready tp puke and the Zune doesn't even blink when you press anything.
.. Connect the Zune to your computer (a back USB port if'n y'all gots a desktop, any port on a laptop but make sure the laptop is plugged in also) and leave the thing to charge an absolute **minimum** of Three Hours, preferably four, even overnite.
.. Disconnect the device and press the Play/Pause until the Zune logo appears. ***Immediately*** do a reset of the device, as described above. Methinks that y'all will be rollin' along nicely at that point.
.. If not, then a Restore of the Zune may be needed, but as a last resort as the Restore will wipe your Zune clean. Is your warranty still active? If it is, then get a hold of Zune support and get a Repair Order started. You can also do this online.

How to use my zune for internet and downloads

You have to use the Zune Software to sync the music, pictures, or videos to your Zune. The software can be found here: http://www.zune.net/en-us/products/software/default.htm. It may take a while to download, depending on your internet connection. While it is downloading, you should make an account for your zune. Drag the files from your music collection to the Zune icon in the left corner, while it is plugged in, and your Zune will sync. After it is finished, unplug it, and your done. You may have to tell the Zune software where your files are on the hard drive, located in the settings page of the software.

Try the reset procedure...

hold the back button and the up button until you see the Zune logo then release. if this doesnt work then you are going to have to reset your Zune....however this will loose all the data on the zune so your music/movies will be completely gone. you are going to need to press and hold the back and up button until the zune logo appears then hold the back,play/pause, and the center button until you see "please wait"

Try Resetting you Zune. To do this, Hold down the Back button and up on the Touchpad for about 15-20 seconds. If this does not work, I would contact Microsoft.

I have Zune 30GB mp3 player. When I try to charge it using computer or wall charger, it tries to turn on and makes some clicking sound and turns off again. It does it repeatedly but can not charge it.

the zune does this if the battery doesn't work (needs a charged battery to power on). battery is either defective or disconnected. there is a zune repair guide that shows you how to fix it

As a last resort or if you are receiving error code C00D2772, erase the device, and then sync your content again. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Start the Zune software on the computer.
  2. Connect your Zune device by using the Zune Sync Cable.
  3. Click Settings, and then click device.
  4. Click SYNC OPTIONS, and then click ERASE ALL CONTENT.
  5. When you receive the following message, click Yes: Please Confirm. Are you sure you want to erase the contents of the connected Zune? You receive the "Erase All Content" message. This may take several minutes. Do not move or disconnect the Zune device until the message disappears.

Problem with intalling zune's software

Uninstall all zune software and download and install it again. Possibly a bad download.

Or run error check on your computer then try it again.

Go to my computer, right-click on C: - go to properties- then go to TOOLS tab. Click on Error check - make sure you have both boxe(s) checked to fix errors as they are found then hit start. You will have to restart your computer for this check to happen. Usually takes a a few hours, but recommended to do at least once every few months.

Hope this helps!
