Block the Startups and Services
When your computer is started up, there
might be a number of programs and services running in the background.
Some of them would be update checkers, error reporters and the rest are
necessary tools like your antivirus etc.
The idea is to disable running the start-ups and service that you no longer need.
Defragment the Disks
My computer is slow to start up if the
disks are too fragmented. Fragmentation refers to dividing a file into
several parts which cause slow down in retrieving their contents.
The problem can be solved by defragmenting such fragmented disks using the Disk Defragmenter.
