It does not beep continuously, it is intermitten, and I cannot tell you how many times it beeps, because the sound is so awful that I just shut it off via holding the power button until it powers down.

Unfortunately I do not know what the RAM are or what they look like to try and remove them from the computer . . . .

The beeps might indicate some hardware problem  . does it beep continiuously??? if not   could you count the number of  beeps?
anyway you could try to  remove the RAM from their holders and reposition them   it might just start working
pls do post back and dont forget to rate the solution

    ok no problem....

you will have to open youe cabinet (the box of your CPU)
and then search for stick like stuff infact the box (long and thin like in milimeters)
you will have two sockets the ram will be in one of them

    like this

    remove it carefully
    and then reposition it

There is a beeping sound coming out of the tower when i turn it on and an orange light right below the power button. What does that mean?

It depends on the number, and order of the beeps (long and short.)

Have you tried UN-plugging the power-cord from the PC for 10mins or so, and then reconnecting and trying it ?

Desktop: Gateway LX6810-01 PC will not power on. When I hit the Power button on the tower, a long continuous BEEP comes on and nothing appears on the monitor. After the BEEP, the On light (on tower)...

Thank you for using FixYa

I would try shutting down the computer in the normal way, and turning off the monitor.
Boot up and turn the monitor back on.
If it still doesn't work, then I would check the cables and power plugs and wall plugs.
Check the mouse and keyboard cable and any other cables plugged into the computer.
The next step requires a seperate monitor or laptop.
Try unplugging the monitor and pluging in another monitor. Most laptops have a common
VGA adaptor jack or even an Svideo jack.
If the other monitor does not work, Then take to a qualified technician for repair.
It could be your power supply in the computer or video controller.

I hope this was useful and please comment if this was helpful to you.

Alienware Aurora Desktop does not boot, has no HD activity

If the activity light on the front of the tower is not glowing than it can be an issue with the power supply of the PC. Try to open the tower and try to reseat the Power supply cables and check.
You can also try to Reseat the RAM (memory) sticks. If you have 2 Memory stick you can just try to boot the pc with the help of one stick and vice versa. If still the issue persist you can try to do a test on the Motherboard. Simply take out the Memory cards and power on the pc . if you hear a beeping noise than the Motherboard is fine and if you dont hear a beeping noise that it is a faulty Motherboard.

There could be a hardware problem on the computer if the power button led light is "Orange/ or amber", if you can open the computer, try removing one memory card at a time and see if the power button will change.
