Try to remove the battery, and plug it into the wall. If it then boots, your battery has failed. This happens frequently. If it still wont boot you will need to take to someone to see if the board has died or other issues. Hope this helps

Power supply is a brick with 4 pins. Total rating 19v, 9.5A. The 4 pins are two +19V and two negatives. Question. Why not use two 19v 4.74 adapters?

Feeding an electronic system computer or other devices from multiple external power supplies is not a good idea if you do not have any electronics knowledge. You would need to make sure that one does not affect the other. This is not a simple task to explain through fixya. There are a lot of things to take into account. When you mix two adapters that have their own voltage regulation control mechanisms, you never know when you hook the two of them together, what may happen. Even internal power supplies with multiple voltages do not join their outputs together. I understand why you may be thinking of doing this. Adapters with lower current capabilities are less expensive than an adapter that is twice the amperage. But trust me, you do not want to risk damaging your expensive electronic gear to save a little on the correct adapter.

I dont have charger . is there a way i may charge my laptop using a desktop pc

Hi
No, that is not posible. you might want to get a universal charger for the laptop, they are fairly cheep. At the bottom of the laptop you can see how much power the laptop uses like:
19V (Volt) 1,2A (Amps)

Hello. Today in the morning my laptop (Asus A8Jseries) was working alright. Then after 6 hours when i tried to turn it on, it didn't. I mean, it starts to work and Asus symbol comes alone, but then it just...

If it happens only when you move the adapter plug inside the power jack, it's likely that you have a problem with the power jack inside the laptop. The power jack has to be resoldered or replaced.
If it happens even without touching the adapter plug, the problem could be related to the faulty power adapter.
You can test the power adapter with a voltmeter and find out if the ouputed voltage is correct. If the voltage is not correct, replace the adapter.

But don't trust that even if the output votage matches specifications. It's possible that the power adapter doesnt' work correctly under load. Test your laptop with another known good adapter. If the laptop works fine with another adapter, your power adapter is defective and has to be replaced.

Acer Aspire 5735 will not turn on. Period. The orange light will not come on and even when I plug it up nothing.

The first thing to do is make sure your adapter is providing the correct voltage. Even if the green light is on for the adapter you need to actually test the voltage at the end where it plugs into the computer. Use a DC voltmeter. The outside of the plug is the negative (ground) and the inside is the positive. You should read anywhere from +19V to +20.5V. If the voltage is not correct, replace the power adapter. If the adapter is good then check and see if the power socket where the power adapter plugs into the computer is solid. The internal jack is held in place by some fairly flimsy plastic and may have broken loose. If it is loose then there is a good chance that the jack has a wire that broke loose. Repairing that requires that you disassemble most of the computer to get to the jack and then do some soldering. Take it to a repair shop if you are not comfortable doing this.

I own an Acer Aspire 1800.When turn on with its adapter plugged in, it dims the display (like if it were on battery power) and the power button starts flashing green and the laptop BEEPS every twenty...

it sounds to me that your adapter that charges your laptop is faulty or the charging port on it is faulty your should try to purchase another adapter and if this fails you will have to have it repaired i hope this helps!

Help! Thanks.

Are you using the correct rated power supply for the DVD player, is it the official power supply that came with it. Sometimes problems like these occure when a replacement "universal" adapter is used and the voltage and current rating is incorrect for the item.

Also does the screen come on or is it just the power light which turns on?

Toshiba computers have a label on the bottom that displays the exact voltage and minimum amperage required to power the computer ("DC15V 3.0A", for example, which means 15 volts DC (direct current), at 3.0 amps. Each Toshiba AC adapter has a label indicating its output voltage and amperage capacity (for example, "DC15V 3.0A"). Important considerations for using AC adapters with portable computers:
The connectors must be compatible -- they must mate together correctly.
The voltage level must match exactly (a computer designed to run from 15 volts can be powered only by an adapter rated to produce 15 volts). If the AC adapter's voltage is higher than the computer's requirement, the computer and the battery may be damaged, If the AC adapter's voltage is lower, the computer may not operate correctly, or not operate at all.
The AC adapter must supply at least enough amperage (current) to meet the computer's amperage requirement. Otherwise, the computer may not run properly, the battery may not charge correctly, or may charge very slowly.
The quality of the power (ripple, noise and other factors) provided by the AC adapter must be very high. AC adapters from other manufacturers may supply sufficient amperage at the correct voltage level but the quality of the power may be poor, which can cause the computer to operate erratically, and could even cause damage to the computer. Whenever possible, use the correct Toshiba AC adapter for your computer.
The computer's power light may blink to indicate that there's a problem with the power from the AC adapter.

Laptop not working

The Brick is the external power adapter, My acer uses model # ADP-60XB 19V X 3.16A= 60 Watts
Yours I believe is also a 19V but I believe the amps are 3.45 making yours a 65Watt power supply ac/dc adapter.

Test the voltage, if your unsure how, take it to Radio Shack and have them do it.
