What happened is that the camera got turned on in your pocket or somewhere and the lens got jammed trying to open up. The problem is that the outer lens ring is not turning all the way and the camera doesn't fully load.

Solution 1: Put the camera into the charger, press the power button so the green light is flashing, unplug it from the charger. The camera will try to realign its lens. (You might have to do this a few times.)

Solution 2: Manually help turn the outer lens ring clockwise when it turns on.

Enilra, sounds to me like you might have the button that takes the photo stuck in the down position. Without turning on the power, put you finger on the button and press down on it while you move wiggle your finger around. Get a good look at the button and see if You Can See If The Button is returning to the UP Position. Withour seeing your camera in person this would be my guess.

If the camera will not power on at all, then I have no where to start. Nothing can be done except repair. this camera will need repair, or sell it as parts or as is on a site such as Ebay.
Call Kodak, and tell them the problem,it just might be that they may take the camera back. It may be worth the time. Go to the website for kodak, find the support and then find the service or repair department. Call them.
