If your keyboard is not working in your laptop, it could be that your keyboard cable has come loose from your motherboard over time. This is not usually the case, however. In most instances, the keyboard has shorted and a replacement keyboard needs to be installed on the system in order to make it work properly again. If you are not used to working on laptops, I would not suggest you do this yourself. The keyboard is usually anchored in by several screws and in certain models of laptops can be difficult to remove. A computer repair shop should be able to remove the keyboard and get you a replacement. However, if you are careful, you can remove the keyboard yourself. The keyboard should have information on the back of it such as model number. You can use this to find and order a replacement keyboard.

Acer computer does not shut down properly, when upload say system has keyboard error and F1 to continue

If a computer is not shutting down properly, it is normally because there is a program that is running in the background, that needs to be halted in order for it to continue shutting down. Programs are loaded into memory and therefore need to be unloaded.
Do control + alt + delete and choose task manager. Then look at the applications tab. It will look like this:

You can then stop the running programs, by clicking on them and choosing End Task.

When finished spraying, Dry with a hair dryer for 30 minuts on low heat let set on clean dry towel for 12 hrs Check for resisual moisture. If any repeat drying proceedure. let set another 12 hrs on clean dry towel
till dry replace battery fire that muther up
way simpler tham removing the keyboard and cleaning it.

How to replace keyboard on Compaq 9600nx L/T.

Pretty simple. Look to see if there are a couple of little screws from the back of the computer that are holding the hinge cover in place. If so, remove them. Next look under the battery to see if there are a couple more. If so, remove them also. Now you are ready to remove the bezel that is just above the F keys on the keyboard. Use a small screwdriver or the like, and pop the bezel off. Now you will see 3 or 4 screws at the top of the keyboard that must be removed. Slide the keyboard up, remove, and carefully unplug the ribbon cable from the motherboard. Replace new keyboard in just the reverse order.

I need to replace the keyboard for a Travelmate 2410. I have the replacement keyboard but am finding it difficult to open the cover. I have removed all the screws from the underside but it is still not...

You need to remove the cover where the power button is located, be careful as there is a ribbon cable attatched to the mainboard under here to pulling to vigorously may cause the cable to get pulled out. Then you need to remove the screw(s) holding the keyboard down, thats all just put the new keyboard abd tight the screws properly.

Be Happy always

Busted keyboard

You may need to replace it. I believe I answered you on how to remove it with your other questions, however, before you go replacing the board, make sure that the ribbon cable that connects it to the motherboard is properly connected and has no visible damage.
