I have a gpx mw238b 1 gb mp3 ,and i tried downloading songs on to it. it usually lets me and on windows it said it had downloaded the songs. when i took it off the usb cable it had taken songs off. i realize i must have not had it on usb mode but now as i turn it on usb and try downloading the songs again it says i dont have any more room so the music must be on there.how do i find it?
If its *full* its do to Filesystem Partially Corruption. *BACKUP* all your songs. Then right click the usb device, format, than format in FAT format NOT FAT32 or NOT NTFS! THESE WILL RENDER YOUR DEVICE USELESS! Reload your songs and they should be good-to-go. If not i suggest contacting GPX

I'm glad to provide the instructions to delete songs from the Walkman Player. Unfortunately, the player doesn't have the option to delete songs in itself. It is required to connect the player to the Computer to delete the files.
Please follow the steps to delete the files from the Player:
Connect the Player to the Computer using supplied USB cable.
Close if the Windows Media Player is automatically popping up when you connect the player.
Open My Computer from desktop and check if you're able to view the player as a removable drive under My Computer.
Double Click to Open it.
You can locate the music files under the folders in the removable drive.
Select the unwanted files and then press the delete button on the keyboard.
Now, you can transfer the required songs to the Player.
Please let me know if you require any clarifications.
first of all you cant do a quick format you have to open the gpx file and manually delete and make sure your battery is out of the player then open gpx file and youre music file hold down the the mouse button on the song you want and drag it to the gpx file and the release its called drop and drag will not sync up with media players on youre computer will cause a error songs vary in size so wont always get the 200 hundred song that the manufacturer says you can thats based on 3mb per song
If this problem occurs then your ML648B needs to be formatted.
1. Connect your ML648B to your computer with Windows XP or later. 2. By default your computer will recognize ML648B as GPX MTP Device.Press the POWER button from top of your ML648B, to change it to USB mode connection. You will also see USB on the screen of ML648B. 3. ML648B will now mount 2 drives, one as Tools (as CD-Drive) and second as Removable Disk (Drive) – under My Computer on your Windows Desktop. 4. Right click your mouse and then select the Format option. When the Format Removable Disk window appears select the Start button to start formatting your MP3 player.
Let it recharge for a few hours - when an mp3 player won't turn off, use the reset button instead of letting the power drain down. Actually, i take it back - this is the worst most godawful manual I have ever seen - this is the first Mp3 player I have ever seen without a reset button.
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard
