Hi,

Try the following options.

1:) Soft Reset:- Press the reset button on the Wii console For 2 seconds.
2:) Hard Reset. :- Unplug The Wii Console For 5-10 Minutes. As once unplugged it resets itself.
3:) use a CD/DVD Based laser head cleaning disk, to remove any dirt/dust from the laser unit.

Thankyou For Using Fixyas Free Forums.

SOURCE: wii console error

Is it just one game that does this? Does it happen in the middle of a game or right away? Is the game an import?

I would call Nintendo on this one.

You need to reset the time and date from the Nintendo GameCube Main Menu. To access the Main Menu, turn the power ON while holding down the A button on the controller. Follow these steps to reset the time and date:

From the Main Menu Screen, go to the Calendar Screen by pushing RIGHT on the Control Stick.
Press the A Button to display Calendar Menu choices of Date or Time.
Use the Control Stick (UP or DOWN) to highlight your menu item and press the A Button to select your choice.
Use the Control Stick (LEFT or RIGHT) to highlight the number you want to change, then (UP or DOWN) to adjust the value.
Press the A Button to accept your choice.
Press the B Button to return to the Calendar Menu or the Main Menu.
Pressing the B Button before accepting your choice with the A Button will return you to the Calendar Menu without changing the settings.

Error Occurred. Press the Eject button and remove the disc. Turn the power off and follow the instructions in the console manual

There may be dirt or scratches on the disc or internal lens.
First remove the disc and gently wipe from the center to the outside with a soft cloth. You can also try using the Lens Cleaning Kit (sold separately) to clean the internal lens. Then re-insert the disc in the console and turn the power on again. If the same error message still appears, use this repair guide...it helps a lot....
