Question about Nintendo Wii Console
We get the following message everytime we load a disc, "An error has occurred. Press the Eject Button and remove the disc, then turn the Wii console off and refer to the Wii Operations Manual for help troubleshooting. The manual doesn't help solve the problem. Is our Wii toast?
Try the following options.
1:) Soft Reset:- Press the reset button on the Wii console For 2 seconds.
2:) Hard Reset. :- Unplug The Wii Console For 5-10 Minutes. As once unplugged it resets itself.
3:) use a CD/DVD Based laser head cleaning disk, to remove any dirt/dust from the laser unit.

SOURCE: We are getting the following
well I have 3 kids and let me tell you this I had this happen a few times to me and guess what it was? the kids put the disk into the unit the wrong way.
Also as far as your case if it is not working 100% then it could be the lazer is out of alignment as well which is fixable.

Either flip the disc the other way and put it back in the Wii, fix any scratches on the disc, or send the Wii to Nintendo.

Your discs might be scratched, the disc reader might be faulty or dirty. You should try to clean both the disc and the drive.

There may be dirt or scratches on the disc or internal lens.
First remove the disc and gently wipe from the center to the outside with a soft cloth. You can also try using the Lens Cleaning Kit (sold separately) to clean the internal lens. Then re-insert the disc in the console and turn the power on again. If the same error message still appears,
