Here is the link for the Vista 64 driver from Canon. Go to this site and select your OS from the drop down menu:

Wondering what my canon mp450 is compatible with. Need to install it and can't find it on the list

You can get the software/drivers here: http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/support/consumer/printers_multifunction/pixma_mp_series/pixma_mp450#DriversAndSoftware . Use the drop-down menu to select Mac OS X or Windows 98 through Win7 (32- or 64-bit).

For Windows, any generic driver from the OS will not run the scanner. Uninstall this driver then disconnect the data cable before installing the Lexmark software.

I hope this helps.

Hi,

You can download the software for 64-bit OS from manufacturer's support website by clicking this link

On the page which opens, select the operating system of your computer (Windows XP 64-bit/ Vista 64-bit..) from the drop-down menu (See attached image).

Then download the required drivers and software.

The list of available software and drivers will load only after selecting the operating system of the computer.

Hope this solves your problem. Thanks for using FixYa.

Canon MP830 will not work with Vista

That is a 64-bit computer most likely with Vista 64-bit OS installed. You will need 64-bit drivers and they are available for the MP830 - I recently downloaded them, although I have not made the transition yet to that computer with the my MP830, mostly because of a jam I can't yet fix. Which is why I am here!

Canoscan does not work on vista 64-bit

I'm not sure if this will work on the lide 20. I have an lide 35, and there are no 64 bit drivers for it. I downloaded and installed the drivers for the lide 60, told the computer to manually find the lide 60 drivers for my scanner, and installed the canoscan toolbox for vista 64 bit. Works like a champ.

Canon Pixma IP 90 printer and Windows Vista

Hi dreslsam,

Is it the Pixma 90, or the Pixma 90v? I believe there is a difference, but I could be wrong.

If you go to this link, and select Vista as your OS (operating system) you should be able to download the correct driver that you need for your printer. Make sure not to select the 64 bit version!

http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&tabact=DownloadDetailTabAct&fcategoryid=357&modelid=11009

Once downloaded, make sure you unpack it and keep in mind where it saved it to in your computer. Then, right-click your my computer. select properties, then on the left hand side of the window select 'device manager'

You should be able to quickly see a yellow question mark next to your printer on this list. If not, I would think it should be located under the 'Universal Serial Bus Controllers' section (USB) where you can update the driver manually.

To update a driver manually, right-click on the driver on your device manager, select update driver, and when prompted, do not search automatically for the correct driver (hence manually versus automatically). Select 'I will install the device myself' and navigate through the explorer menu to the location of your recently downloaded and unpackaged driver. It should now install and complete successfully. It may prompt you once that the device driver is not signed by Microsoft, but since we are sure of the location that we downloaded it from, this is not a concern.

Once you've done all that (Phew!) You may still need to go to your Printers & Faxes menu and set-up your printer and make it your default printing device. Piece of cake after all of that driver stuff right?

If you still have any questions or problems after that, post again and let us know! Hope that helps.
