Question about Dynex 30-Pin Dock Adapter for Apple iPod shuffle

1 Answer

What does the little electrical bolt symbol mean?

I have an iPod Shuffle, and I have plugged it into a Dynex adaptor.  I recently bought a Logitech Pure-Fi Anywhere-2, and planned to use the set up for about 7 hours of music at a party.
My iPod Shuffle stops episodically, until I turn it off, wait a bit, & start again--- obviously not good for a party.  My question relates to wondering if I have been using more power than I need to.  I had thought the iPod Shuffle would automatically recharge, as I have the speaker system plugged in (rather than running on batteries).
I have switche on the speaker symbol (green) on the Dynex, but should I be playing the music with the symbol switched to the electrical bolt symbol (red), and is that even possible?
Is there something else that would help?

This is obviously a power or connectivity issue, check that the device ( your ipod ) is correctly seated into the logitech speaker system, and check the power cables are connected according to the manual which came with the logitech speaker system.
question u may ask yourself? - does the ipod work as it should on its own? (without non-apple devices/components attached to it) - if it doesnt - take to an apple store or call or seek apple support.
it sounds like your ipod is low on power from source.
i hope this directs you in the right direction, party on!

Wen i connect my i pod to computer it does not connect

Check to see whether your iPod shuffle is the original stick version or the newer version, which plugs into the iPod dock connector.

Turn your PC on.

The PC needs to be on to transfer music and charge the iPod shuffle.

Place the iPod shuffle in the iPod dock connector if you have the newer version.

If you're using the original version, then plug it directly into a high-power USB port on your PC.

Check the monitor to ensure iTunes has loaded.

This means a connection was established.

hope this helps

How do I re charge battery with electrical plug

To charge the battery using your computer:
Connect iPod shuffle to a high-power USB port on your computer using the included iPod shuffle Dock. The computer must be turned on and not in sleep mode (some models of Macintosh can charge iPod shuffle while in sleep mode). When the battery is charging, the status light on iPod shuffle is orange. When the battery is fully charged, the status light turns green.
If you don't see the status light, iPod shuffle might not be connected to a high-power USB port. Try another USB port on your computer.

To charge the battery using an iPod USB Power Adapter If you do not have then you have to buy the same from Apple Store) 1 Connect the AC plug adapter to the power adapter (they might already be connected). 2 Plug the USB connector of the iPod shuffle Dock into the power adapter. 3 Plug the power adapter into a working electrical outlet. 4 Put iPod shuffle in the dock. You can disconnect and use iPod shuffle before it is fully charged.

Logitech Pure-Fi Anywhere Portable Speakers for Apple iPod . It keeps shutting off after a few minutes. It's plugged into a wall outlet.

Many have reported the same issue, reset the pure-fi with the reset switch (on bottom) while it is turned on, then put your iphone/ipod at 75+ % of volume before/while playing.

Ipod problem - playing songs in order

sounds like you need a new hard drive, which has a little read-write disk in it that is getting finicky... just to get more use out of it lay it on side or other positions and hear if works ok...if so its diffently Hard drive. you know the sandisks are 2 gigs no moving parts why doesnt somebody put 20 together making 40 gigs and replace the failing Ipods!!??? just pure electronics and no moving parts and much smaller...not like a hard drive. I thought of this over 30 years ago looking at the first plug in video game.

Power problem

probably "+" you need to check the polarity of the speakers, there should be something like this near where you plug in the power adapter: http://www.accesscomms.com.au/images/reference/powerplug-positive.jpg the above symbol would mean "+".
