I need to figure out what my acess number is for my voice mail.

try dialing your phone # from the same phone that the voice mail message is on.
Another tip is you can dial 611 from that same phone and it will usually route you to their customer service who will provide more specific instructions about different ways to access VM for that particular service provider.
Remember that both of these tips only work when used on phone in question. (cell phones and land lines)

I figured out how to do this as of 6/18/2013
Do not call your phone. Call the voice mail number, which is 805 637 7243. Then it will prompt you to enter your own 10 digit phone number and #. Then you enter your voice mail pin and it will bring up your messages. Viola.

This might happen's because the voice mail number in you're Handheld might be wrong, Please check with that.
If the number is correct you your call will be transfered to voice mail, If the voice mail number is wrong then you need to contact you're service provider.
To find the voice mail number follow the step's:-
1) Go to call log.
2) Press menu key.
3) Select Option's
4) Select voice mail.

On base station: menu>base setup>ok>edit voice mail>ok>

then enter number to access voice mail for your service provider. I have Grande phone service so I entered *78. Press ok then exit.

I don't have the built in answering service so I was trying to access my Grande voice mail, but when I pressed the message button, it asked me to enter my Earth Link password. We haven't used Earth Link for a couple of years. This fixed the problem. I just had to mess with it some to figure it out. The blinking light on the handset next to my bed was driving me crazy so I had to figure it out!

go to messages, then settings, voice mail should be number 3 on the list. just click voice mail then theyll give you the number at which you can call them.

It's amazing what you can do when you read the right instruction book! Must remember to toss old manuals!

i) Select Option Messages----->Select Voice Mail Server-------> Select option Empty----->Select Edit and enter number(for eg: i use the number *0* to know the voice messages in my voice mail server......or contact ur customer care for voice mail number and enter number)

ii) china mobiles donot have T9(dictionary) or believe me  they dont support

You have to change the rings from the voice mail server. If you don't know your way around the server, its best to get a local NEC tech although it is fairly simple to navigate. Depends on your skill. Typical default password for the server is NEC

hi all you need to do is press 7 to delete. if you want to save them press 9 to fast forward to the next one prress the number sign #
thats worked on all the cell phones ive had hoped it works for you.

As bsmither said, how voice mail is accessed is very dependent on your phone company and how they've set things up. They would be the best place to ask about any problems you're having there.

As for programming the voice mail buttons on the 25204, I was confused by that one as well until I finally figured it out. Specializations aside, they're just speed dial buttons, and are programmed in exactly the same way as the ones along the right side of the phone. RCA could have documented that detail better than they did.

In my case, with Vonage, I just programmed the buttons with the numbers for the lines that they're associated with. When they dial and I'm connected to the voice mail system, I'm prompted for my VM password, which I then enter manually.
