I just need to replace the water valve.

My main problem is figuring out how to take the back off. I have a kenmore 20702990. I have taken all visible screws off but nothing seems to want to budge and i dont want to break anything.

Improper model #. Sometimes letter"O" looks like zero or a "D"

There are so many different machines that I'd need the proper model # to help any more.

How do you change the agitator parts on a kenmore model 20702990 top loading machine with direct drive?

Remove agitator by taking fabric dispenser off and removing cover down below, pulls up with not much effort. Remove 7/16 bolt and take out agitator from tub area. Stand on the bottom part of agitator and pull directly up holding on to the auger section. Sometimes takes some muscle but will come apart. Agitator dogs will need to be replaced. Part # 80040 from Whirlpool.

After spin clothes are still wet kenmore 110-20702990

If your clothes are still wet after a spin cycle it can indicate that you may have either a drainage issue and the water is coming back into the machine after the spin, or your drain pump has broken some or all of its impellers that force the water out. i hope you found this useful.

Kenmore Series 80 heavy duty has a water flow problem

Check the water inlet valve. Remove the water supply hoses and check the small screens inside the water inlet valve. Make sure they are clear of rust or debris. The solenoids can be tested using a multimeter or ohmmeter. Check for continuity. A lack of continuity indicates a bad solenoid and the water inlet valve assy will need replaced. I will attach a photo for reference. Sorry for your trouble and I hope this helped. Best wishes.

Waher won't spin

Either a bad lid switch or a bad direct drive coupling or a bad timer.
Fill the machine with water. In the wash mode observe the agitator. Is it moving back and forth? If no, replace the direct drive coupling.
If yes, it does move back and forth, with the lid closed, advance the timer to the spin cycle. If it does not spin, raise the lid then close the lid. Does it spin? If yes, replace the timer. If no, replace the lid switch..

Kenmore washer leaks water,

on the back of the machine there a two water inlet valves, these are electric solenoid valves and one of them is leaking.  You need to remove the back panel on the washer to replace this valve assembly.  It's a common easily obtained part.

Water Leak inside drum

That's because the water fills from around the door bellow via the dispenser. Any small water leakage will probably go unoticed because it drains into the seam in the rubber boot into the wash tub UNDER the wash basket. As it accumulates, it will eventually fill to a point where it is visible in the wash basket. It sounds like you have a water inlet valve that is failing. That's the only way water gets into the washer. It passes from the the water taps, through the inlet valve, through the flowmeter and into the dispenser. If the inlet valve is leaking, you probably have a diaphragm in the valve not closing properly, or a bad solenoid. I would recomend replacing it. To access, you will need to remove the top panel of the washer by removing the three screws in the back of the washer that hold the top panel in place. With the screws removed, the panel slides back, then off. The water inlet valve is located on the left-hand side in the rear of the washer (facing from the front) where the fill hoses connect. You will need to shut off the water supply, disconnect main power, remove the electrical connections to the solenoids, remove the any hoses and finally the mounting screw to remove. If you post back with your complete model number (located aorund the door opening), I can provide you with a part number. If you have further questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you.
