Tip

Need to set (reset) your homepage; or want to add a homepage?

Follow these simple steps.

Open your browser (instructions via IE) Internet Explorer:

1. Go to Tools (in browser; must have internet connection)

2. Go to Internet Options

3. In the first tab, in the first (top) box; (delete current homepage listed if desired) enter the homepage desired (i.e. http://www.yahoo.com, http://www.msn.com)

4. Click okay at the bottom, close out browser, then restart. Your homepage(s) will load. You can choose which to open first by typing it in the order of which you want it to appear in the browser - if you want yahoo first, type it first; if you want it second, type it second and so forth.

Thank you and good luck with your surfing the web.

In addition: for secure websites (https://www.....) don't forget to add the 's' at the end of http"S" (without the quotes of coures).

Msn.com website redirects through lenovo.ca first then msn

you must go to the tool in your browser IE or Firefox Mozilla , open the tab for main pages, put the home pages that you want, and make click and ready. However you must update your add-on and plugins.

God bless you

I HAVE YAHOO AS MY HOME PAGE. I THINK I ACCIDENTLY HIT SOMETHING AND IT BROUGHT UP INBOX AND I CANT GET IT REMOVED SO I CAN GO BACK TO YAHOO.

Hello, thanks for using FixYa. Please don't use capslock. Now, as i can see, you want a other website as homepage. If you have Internet Explorer, the default browser that comes with Windows. Here is a guide for changing your homepage in IE. Incase that you have Firefox, if you are not sure open up the start menu at the left side of the taskbar and see what stands above, then here is a guide for doing that with FireFox. If you use another browser, you can google the name of the browser, with "Change homepage" at the end. Thanks again, and have a nice day.

I wanted the google toolbar on my Yahoo Homepage not google Homepage

You will need to reset your homepage to Yahoo. When you installed the toolbar (which will be available on ALL sites) it set your homepage to Google. If you're using Internet Explorer, click on Tools > Internet Options. On the General tab, type in the address (http://www.yahoo.com/) into the Homepage box. If you're using Chrome, click the wrench icon, then click Options. Select Open the Following Pages, then type in the address. If you're using Firefox, click Tools > Options. Type the address in the Homepage box on the General tab (if you're using a newer version of Firefox, click the orange Firefox button in the top left corner and select Options).

Have always had Yahoo as a homepage on a desktop pc. When clicking on a link, the article appears then screen goes blank. This has been happening for a few weeks. A message says Diagnose Connection...

Try to clear your history..everything on it,,,Remove also ll cookies and cache on TOOLS menu of your internet browser.
Go check also the the homepage and see if this was chang. Still on TOOLS menu of your internet browser select OPTION. Under MAIN tab, set "http://www.yahoo.com" as your HOMEPAGE.
Yahoo products rely its connection on INTERNET EXPLORER. It means that all connection when using any of the yahoo products will be much easier if Internet Explorer is working fine. Upgrade Internet Explorer to its latest version.
Thank you for using Fixya.
Post back if you still have questions.

Reset IE to default settings per this Microsoft link:
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Reset-Internet-Explorer-7-settings

Then
Set Yahoo as homepage: From the browser menu, click Tools
  1. Select Internet Options
  2. In the General tab's Home Page entry box, type www.yahoo.com and click Apply

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response. Happy New Year!
