Question about KitchenAid Architect KGCP484KSS Gas Cooktop
I have a 48" stovetop with grill and griddle, and my grill is acting up. I had to replace the ignitor about 6 months ago, and it was working fine until recently. Now it ignites when set to Lite/High, but when I turn it down to medium, or low, about 5 seconds later you can hear the gas valve shut off. Seems like it works fine at High as long as the ignitor stays on. I am afraid that this will just make it burn out again though. I cannot find any thermal sensor like on a gas furnace. I thought this would be the same, but there is no sign of anything testing the temperature. Any ideas?
Hi im gerbee, try to clean the sensor valve by using a scott brite, the sensor place in the side wen the flame is on like a gold metal, 2nd try to adjust the flame control by using a plat or + screw,u see it at the gas control knot on top the small screw.adjust to high flame is touch the sensor valve.sory for my english.tnx gerbee i hope i help u

Tips for a great answer:
Hello friend, thanks for your post!
I see that the indicator for your cooktop continues to remain on for your Frigidaire range. It sounds like it could be a potential issue with your switches or control panel. I would recommend a reset on your range which you can do by flipping the household circuit breaker off for ten minutes. I hope this is helpful. -Matt
