Try setting the resolution on the desktop when you are on the tv I found that I had this problem before myself and the only way to make it bigger was adjusting my desktop resolution I had also made sure all my settings where correct on my tv as well but I think if you goto the advanced properties on your secoundary or primary if you are using that and adjust the resolution.

are you using VGA or SVIDEO?

Move a scree to one half of moniter AND add another screen to the other half

If youre trying to split screen with two windows (programs) win 7 does that easily, you drag your program windows left or right until the mouse reaches the edge of the desktop and it automagically resizes the window to 50% of the screen, move the seconf window to the other size in similar fashion and it's done.

What you should try at this point is shut everything down, Unplug your desktop, hook it back up to tour moniter and boot. If you now get a picture, go to your device manger and click on display adaptors. If you have more than one selection. choose your monitor. Let me know if this works.

I was moving my HP pavilion m9400f elite then I dropped it 2 inches off the ground. Now I have this "no signal" thing on my moniter. I switched moniters and tried resetting the BIOS numerous...

If you get to the BIOS, there must be writing on the screen which means there is signal to the monitor.
Has the VGA card or anyother card parted from the mother board?
Is the hard drive wires connected properly at each end?
Check all the connectors on the motherboard are good contact as they can half unplug in the case of a jolt stopping the system.

I have sony vaio desktop. My moniter keeps going off and on. Tried different moniter does the same thing. Could it be something that the desktop might be causing. Also, last year I replaced my power...

When you say 'on and off' you have not indicated if the whole power on the monitor is going on and off or if the monitor remains turned on but the screen display goes on and off.
Is the monitor power plugged through the socket on the pc or direct to a power outlet?
multiplug power outlet boards are often a source of power failure.
Did you try a different power lead for the monitor and b) a different wall socket?
If it is the screen display that is intermittent you should check the graphics card is fully seated (if it's a separate one)

My 50 inch sony bravia screen cracked. how much is it to get repaired?

It can cost anywhere between £50 and $200 ($100 and £300) to get a 50 inch LCD TV fixed, if you have a Plasma TV, it'll be a bit more than that.
