Since installing a new router, it will not let us access msn yahoo, or youtube, it knocks us off within seconds, it is exactly the same router
as before just a newer one, on the old one we had no problems...
It sounds like you have more than one issue going on. One possible issue with the yahoo and msn messenger could be that you have port/app filtering enabled. In order to fix this, you must go onto your router's configuration (the webpage for its settings), and go check the Port/Application & Gaming filter area to see if any ports are not permitted (since I don't know exactly what router you have, I can't tell you exactly what to go to, but I can give you a general idea of what to look for). If that is the case, simply disable the port filters, and save your settings. If that doesn't fix the problem, then make sure that use don't have parental controls, or Access policies enabled that deny you from using those applications. The youtube problem sounds like a different problem all together. It could be anything from a bad internet connection, to slow internet, to a setting on your browser preventing it from working. My suggestion for that would be to try to access other websites using your same web browser, and then try to access youtube from a different web browser. If you can access youtube from another web browser, but can access the other pages from the first web browser, your problem may be in the browser with that specific page. On the other hand, if you can access youtube, and cannot access any webpage on the first browser, there probably a problem with that browser in general. If you cannot access youtube with either, but can access other websites, then its probably not you browser.
If you still have a problem after following these steps, I would recommend contacting your ISP, or having someone come and look at your network in person.
