Re: husqvarna chain saw stalls
Hi charlier 421
I think the small holes from the Venturi wall of the carb are clogged. To clean them you need carb disassembly.Near the needle there is a tehnological cover, under the diafragm(fuel pump).Taking off it you will see some small holes maiking conection with Venturi wall.Used ompresed air to clean them. best wishes savumihai71

this new gas is a carb killer you will need a new diaphragm for the carb and there is a little screan next to the needle and seat that can be cleaned. about a 5.00 repair if done right.. use marine gas
the gas in the carb might bad might need to take apart and bolw out with some air and carb cleaner there are very tiny holes and the gas builds up a yellowish scale that can bolck the tiny holes i recomend a carb kit wich will give you new gaskets there are two adjustment screws on the carb if you take the spark plug out and it is wet you are getting to much gas and flooding it out try to turn the screws in if the screws have the little plastic caps on them remove them this will allow you to adjust the gas to the carb there is a hi and low the low is idle speed turn just enough so the chain dosent spin hi hold throttle down and adjust out till it will get wide open and sound clean no missing or struggling. i can post some photos of a chain saw taken apart to help you if you need it . please let me know if ther is any thing else i can do to help
The plastic carb mount has a hole and a slot, this is the pulse channel from the cylinder to work the pump diaphram in the carb, if you look behind the plastic plate there is a tube that fits into the cylinder under the black induction rubber, this feeds a positive and negative pressure to the carb as the piston rises and falls, make sure you have re fitted the small seal in the cylinder that seals this tube or you will have big running problems.

Start with cleaning your air filter really well Check your spark plug for a good solid spark that goes to the electrode and not to the side of the plug - if it fires to the side replace the plug Has anyone fooled with the carb hi/low/idle settings?
An engine needs three things to run(fuel and air mixed together in the correct proportions, compresion of the fuel/air mixture and ignition).Make carb adjustments, check the compression and the spark from the sparkplug.Priming the engine(put some gas into the sparkplug hole).Try to start the engine. If engine is running only the gas from the cilinder, the chain saw has a fuel delivery problem.Disassembly the carb and clean the inner parts.Check the fuel and air filters, fuel hose and gas tank ventil.
