You need good camera lenses for portrait photography. I suggest you join a good online photography course to get basic knowledge.

Use a zoom lens with a wide aperture, best done outdoors with trees behind the subject, it'll blur the background leaving the subject in sharp focus. very flattering especially if you have the subject with their face pointing away from the sun, this'll give you natural looking highlights around the hair line and shoulders and allow you to fill the shadows with a flash.

Tip

How to take best pictures.

1. The best pictures can be taken with a tripod and using self timer or the remote control of the camera.

2. Some people think that the best picture can be taken with suddenly pressing the shutter. In reality it is not true. So the best pictures can only be taken with two steps. First, pressing half way and without not shaking the camera continuing on pressing the shutter. At last the camera takes picture. But a good photographer does not know the moment of taking the picture. He/She only knows and concentrates on not shaking the camera.

3. Best pictures can only be taken with an artistic point of view. Best photographers place the subjects to the most estetic point and the best estetic position.

4. Best pictures can only be taken without using the flash.

5. Best pictures can only be taken at the Golden Hour time. Golden Hour is the time period, starting with the Sun rise and ends after an hour. Second Golden Hour starts before an hour of Sun Set and ends with the Sun Set.

6. Best pictures can only be taken by a best photographer so you can never see a best photographer's portrait as a best picture.

7. Best pictures can not be taken with a most expensive camera but can be taken by a best working amateur photographer.

8. Best pictures can not be taken by professionals but can be taken by the professional amateurs.

9. Best pictures can only be taken with the camera which has a greater sensor size.

10. Best pictures can only be taken with a natural view of the objects.

Which is the best idea for the engagement photography?

The best option for the engagement photography is to appoint the engagement photographer. I had also appointed the Boston family photographer. They are the best and charged me $340 for the 50 photographs with best edit effects and many more.
They are the best I have ever seen to have the photography.
To have more details follow the "Mat Tam Photography".

I had also appointed a family photographer for my brother's wedding. The best I would suggest you is the Boston family photographer. They are the best and masters in their field. To know more you can follow the "Mat Tam Photography". Just try it you will be amazed to see their perfection and creativity.

Night photography tips using nikon d3100

The best tip is to use a tripod or other camera support. That is, unless you want the blur from camera motion.

Other than that, it depends on what you're photographing, and what you want that photograph to say to the viewer.

What kind of digital camera do i get

What kind would you like to get? Cameras vary widely in size, weight, features, capabilities, ease-of-learning, ease-of-use, and, of course, cost. The best digital camera for one person is very unlikely to be the best camera for another person.

Visit your local library or bookstore. There are plenty of introductory books that discuss camera types and the trade-offs they offer.

Hi, Just need advice on which is a better Lumix to buy- LX3 or FZ 40. In terms of i mage quality, shooting at night mode, and quality of lens. Am no professional photographer but would love to get...

In my opinion, your best best is the Lumix LX3. It's all around a higher quality camera than the FZ40 and it has a lot of features that I think work well for amateur photographers. It will definitely do better at nighttime. Also in terms of carrying space, the LX3 is much smaller and easier to fit.

As a pro photographer, this is the type of point and shoot that I would purchase if I was in the market for one in that price range. If I was going to go up in cost a bit, I'd probably purchase the Canon G12.

I hope that helps!
