Question about Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate Edition
I have a yahoo e-mail adress. For past three days could not log into yahoo--but could on everything else.Technician says my computer is fine.Called yahoo--said no problem with host.Fifteen minutes later-could suddenly log on.Now-can not get e-mails to download. Can not use yahoo music-glithces and will not play thru.Try to send messages-get host down message.
What gives??? I realize my account is free-but have had to go to another site and transfer contacts.
I use yahoo for my ATT DSL mail and I'm not having any issues so I suspect something changed recently on your computer. Have you downloaded any Windows service packs (like XP SP3) or any security patches for Internet Explorer? If you think you have then I would run System Restore (start>all programs (or programs if on classic view)>accessories>system tools>system restore then choose the restore my computer to an earlier state. When asked which restore point to use choose one the day before you started having problems. If that doesn't fix it you have to look at if anything else has changed on your computer or internet setup. Like did you get a new router or DSL modem or install a software firewall? If so those could be blocking yahoo. If you are trying to do this thru a corporate network your administrator could have blocked you too, I know at my job I haven't had access to yahoo for years! If you aren't on a corporate network and nothing else has changed, your router could have flaked out, power off the router and/or modem for a least a minute then plug them back in and try again.
Hope that helps!
