Question about E-Machines T1150 PC Desktop

T1150 emachine Computer not booting up correctly

I push power button and don't get any lights on the front of the computer. I don't get a signal to the monitor. However, both fans are running and it sounds like the computer has booted up. The fans start running immediately when I plug the power cord into the back of the computer instead of when I push the power on button.

Did you hear any beeps from the bios? Try to remove all the peripherals like all the PCI cards, specially the "video card", your ram's,. Once you removed and cleaned all of those, put it back, make sure that theres no loose connections and boot the computer.

I haved a Emachine EL 1300G-01W that has crashed

Power it down, pull the power lead out, remove the cover from the base and check that all the leads (to the hard drive and the motherboard) are seated correctly - by physically pushing them in. Then push and hold the power button on the front for 10 seconds. Then replace the cover and power lead and try starting it up.

Have emachine T1150 - the on off button when pushed in is getting stuck and machine will no longer turn on. Can this be fixed and is it worth the cost ? Can I fix myself ?

The switch on the outer plastic front panel is usually just a plastic peice with a spring, it pushes the button in on the inside metal housing of the computer case, therefore not really much to worry about, you just need to remove the front panel to free up the plastic so it dose'nt get stuck in the hole, this is normally just caused through dust or resadue build up from your fingers when turning the computer on and off.
To get the front panel off you will have to remove the side panel, have a look to see if there any screws holding the front panel on, if not then it is just held on by expansion clips that expand with inserted into the metal houses of the case, just gentle ease away from the inner housing.
When you have removed the front panel just fiddle with the switch a bit and try to free it up, whilst the front panel is off you could try pressing the button on the front metal housing to ensure the computer does turn on.
when you have done this just replace the front panel and and put the case back together and you should have solved the sticky switch problem.

I cannot boot up the computer. When I push the front power button, nothing happens. When I flip the switch on the back, or unplug it for 30 secs and plug it back in, the fan starts up and a yellow light...

I had this happen to my emachines T1842 about a year ago. I replaced the power supply and it worked fine. It was about 25 bucks but fixed my problem. Make sure the red switch on the back hasnt been messed with. it should be on 115. If you have moved it, it may have blown a fuse inside the power supply.

E machine T1150 wont start up

Make sure you have the memory installed correctly. Those beep codes identify it as bad memory. Try the old RAM.
Good luck with this.

Emachine Will not boot

different beeping patterns are codes which indicate what part of the hardware has failed (ram, video card, cpu, ect). the fan failure would not cause beeps, and would not cause the cpu to fail unless already in windows. if you could find out the manufacturer of your motherboard you could check with them about what the paticular pattern of beeps which you are getting mean.
