del recognition circuit may have failed in charger , or could be fine central pin on charger plug or laptop plug has broken connection,it is used to tell laptop that this is genuine dell charger. If you remove battery will laptop work off charger.if does then definitely one of the three problem possible . for first only soln try another dell charger first, often has to be one to suit your model ,common dell problem ,if then work and charge battery ,you will need to replace charger as recognition circuit failed. If either of last 2 can repair but need to pull apart repair broken connection ,or open up laptop and check power connection and repair connection . If your Dell computer is new, and you are using the charger that came with it, contact Dell for resolution. You may have the wrong AC adapter.

My toshiba P205-S6307 battery is not charging when plugged in

If your battery will not charge, you need to run a test on some components on the laptop. The battery, the charger and the laptop itself. Once you detect the faulty conponent then you replace it with a new one.

To test the battery:
1.Power off the laptop,
2.Take out the battery,
3.Insert it in another laptop,
4.Check of it will charge,

If the battery holds a charge there, then it means the problem is not from the battery, but if it does not hold a charge, then it means the battery is defective and need to be replaced with a new one.

To test your toshiba p205 charger:
1.Unplug the charger from the present laptop,
2.Connect it to another laptop to see if it will charge.

If it charges the laptop, then it means the charger is alright, and if it does not charge the laptop, then it means the charger is bad and need to be replaced.

To test the laptop:
1.Turn off the laptop,
2.Disconnect your present charger,
3.Remove your present battery pack,
4.Insert a well tested battery into the laptop,
5.Connect a well tested charger to the laptop.

If it powers on, then it and charges, then it means the laptop is working fine, but if it does not charge, then it means the connection port of the laptop is bad.Hope this information was helpful.

Battery will not charge.plugged in not charging

Does the computer start anyway, but it's just that the battery won't charge? If that's the case, it's probably a bad battery.

A procedure to do before assuming a bad battery is to (1) remove the battery, (2) disconnect the power supply from the computer, and (3) press and hold the power button for about 30 seconds. This resets the logic circuits in the internal power handling section. If that doesn't help either, then the battery is probably bad.

If the computer isn't starting, however, it could be that the power supply has failed. Check the voltage output on the power supply.

Hope that's helpful.

Laptop power connection faulty

Hallow Dear,

As your explanation about Battery issue simply I’m advising you to replace your battery with original one.

But before that there is one thing that you can try it out.

---Use your laptop until battery goes down & shutdown automatically then remove the battery and try to discharge it completely with small bulb manually

When it’s on completely discharge (0 Volt) keep it on Outdoor Sunlight about 12 hours.

After that connect it to your laptop & recharge it completely (until Computer LEDs showing you as Fully Charged)

****** REMEMBER DO NOT TURN ON YOUR LAPTOP******
Until its Showing you as fully charged

That will be nice if you can check Battery Voltage & Amperage manually as it is charged fully before turn on your laptop. (if not you can give more charging time accordingly)

This will not solve your any component (thermal fuse, vRegulate) problems inside your battery but will increase your battery Cells Life and most vStoraging problems on Cells inside your battery

Thank you & Best Regards
Dinu….
