I reset the TV by pressing the on/off and "OK" button at the same time after unplugging and replugging the TV. I also called comcast for a signal to be sent to my card ( I had done that yesterday with no result), so I don't know which of these worked, but I am good to go again.

suggest checking antenna, or if rural location the mast head amplifier if used. Check Teeivision on a neighbours antenna cable coxial connection to test damaged antenna theory Also check neighbours TV works to prove the tv station or relay tv station transmitter was not hit in storm.

I'm wondering where in the mix is your satellite receiver? The recorders currently on the market aren't able to decode digital satellite signals. They are capable of decoding cable but i'm unaware of any that work on satellite.

The govt tv is not on,because sudden supply of the electric power. what is the solution.

I am assuming that you have power? IF not, then you have to wait until the power is restored. If the station is offline then contact your cable or satellite provider. If there was a sudden application of power to your TV without a surge protector then the other channels would be affected too.
Other solutions-maybe
CRT's are computer screens...they need your computer you power them. I assume that you know this. Check your cables to your computer; if that does not work then check to see if you have any other stations that work. If you could give more information on the issue I might be able to give you a better answer.

Ahoo.comhi my panasonic viera lcd tv model: TH- 42 U20S, was suddenly stopped working, because I inserted a memory card instead of SD card on it and suddenly the unit was shut down and the light started...

this appears to be a common problem from what i researched the only fix i have read about was removing the sd card. and unplug the tv for about an hour to reset it.

LG TV flat 29 stops accepting signals from remote after sun set

It doesnt sound like a TV issue. I would try on another TV and see if it still happens! If it does then its the cable. And the cable service need to come out at 6:55pm and you need to show them the problem so they know what your talking about!
Good Luck!

Bad picture

I am aware of some TV stations already being switched to their digital stations, even though the government has extended the requirement date to May '09. I noticed on my VCR, when the DST changes; mine doesn't change to the current days as it was made before we changed to 6 extra wks of DST. Does yours do the same thing, or do you set the time manually. If you are not on Dish or Cable and your local TV channels have gone to digital already, that would be the only reason that you are getting the faded/snowy pictures on both. There are 3 ways that you can solve this. My Favorite is #3 for people who don't have cable/Dish. Also, they give you a $40.00 coupon which is the highest amount I personally have seen. 1). sign up for basic cable (if you do, you will more than likely have to look in a higher Ch. # to find your local stations, only a few are being left @ their original Ch. #). 2).Get a Dish. Or 3).You can go to: www.DTV2009.gov and apply on-line for a TV converter box coupon. If you have a copier and fax, you can apply that way as well (must be submitted by 3/31/09.) You can also apply by phone @ this ph. #: 1-888-388-2009 for those who can hear. Deaf (TTY-English): 1-877-530-2634 OR
Deaf (TTY- Spanish) 1-866-495-1161. Good Luck!
Remember your local Ch.'s probably won't be where they are now, unless you are in a small town. If this
helps you, I would really appreciate you telling me what you think of my answer. Thanks so much! Once again, good luck! Good Bye & Good Day. P.S. If I can be of further assistance, give me a shout back, and I'll try to be of more assistance.

Cant get my viera linked panasonic to play through surround sound

I had the same problem, so i contacted panasonic, I am including the email they sent me.

For connections of audio, so that you can hear all tv audio through the
surround system, connect either an optical audio cable or red & white
analog audio cables from the tv to the home theater. If you are using
optical audio, there is a plug on back of tv labeled for digital audio
output and an input on the surround sound system. If you plan on using
analog red and white, use the PROG OUT red and white output jacks on the
back of the tv to the AUX input on the home theater.

For video connections, to get HD you will need to be using either HDMI or
Component cables. HDMI is the cable that will provided 1080p signal (the
best HD signal), but if the source does not output 1080p, then your tv
will not display 1080p. Most cable boxes output at 1080i or 720p when on
HD stations. This signal still provides great picture quality, but HDMI is
not needed to get these HD signals. You can use component cables for your
cable box and the DVD player output to the tv for video. HDMI might give
you a slightly better picture quality but the signal will be the same.

To make the connection, you will want to connect from the cable box to the
tv (component or hdmi). Also from the home theater system to the tv using
hdmi or the video cables from component (red, blue, & green cables).

We hope this information is helpful to you.

Thank You,
Panasonic Consumer

Panasonic DMR-E85 DVD recorder TV Guide problem

Try unplugging the DMR-E85 power cord. It is important that you unplug it from the back of the recorder, not the wall. Leave it unplugged for 10 or 15 minutes. For good measure disconnect the cable 'in' connection as well. Once both lines are plugged back in it will go through its self-check diagnostics. Leave it alone for awhile (give it time to consider the error of it's ways). If you are lucky, when you turn it back on it will ask you to verify the channel lineup. If this does work, and all the channel info is correct, press 'enter' (lineup 1 highlighted). Good luck! This is an awesome machine, WHEN IT WORKS!
