Question about Sony VAIO PCV-R547DS PC Desktop
I have a Sony Vaio Notebook, FSN 740/W also known as PCG-7D2L. It really doesn't get used too much but we keep it updated etc. It has the usual problem of slower and slower loading. What's driving us up the wall now is some sort of audio/video problem. It's a very annoying, "Max Headroom" (if you remember him) type of stuttering. It is both audible and visible on playing any kind of video, whether it be DVD or internet. It also occurs on the pre-shutdown screensaver videos and when using WinAmp audio. It is intermittent with short periods of normalcy. Any help would be greatly appreciated, especially since my office PC is down and awaiting help from my MCSE son who is taking his time! Thanks

SOURCE: wont boot up with out hitting F1
check inside the case to see that nothing bad has happened to the cables connecting these items, also check the usb ports for any damage,go into device manager and search for new hardware,it may find them and install what it needs ,if all else fails, you might need to go get a bios upgrade , this may fix the problem.
after that and still have the problem, its most likely the motherboard
