Split screen I cant get the split screen to go off

My 18 year old son (who is an avid Minecraft player) says you need an HDMI cable to play in split screen.

Maybe your graphics card built inside the computer is operating at it's max. But if you are seeing a split screen, you either have a lcd screen problem or a video problem. Have you tried plugging an external monitor into the laptop to see if it gets the split screen?

I have the same problem! I'm using the HDMI-DVI cable that came with the monitor because it lacks an actual HDMI port. DVI is the big port with the grid, right? Anyways, is there a way to put monitor Drivers on the PS3? The monitor doesn't have a menu so I can't manually resize. Also, LittleBigPlanet automatically splits like 720p whenever I play it.

press video mode or pscan button on remote

I had the same problem with mine. I flipped the switch on the back and it worked instantly, hope yours does too.

On the back of your player you should see a switch that can slide back and forth that's marked PSCAN. Slide the switch into the opposite position from which it's in now. The should solve your problem.

had the split screen with pscan triangle looked for the button on the back, no button but on the remote was a button named V.MODE pressed it and everything back to normal thanks for the help
