Question about Texas Instruments TI-84 Plus Calculator
On a calc that's work properly, in the 'y=' screen, none of the 'Plot#' things are highlighted. try pressing 'y=', and if you have a 'Plot#" in a black box, go up to it and press enter to un-highlight it.
either it will work as soon as you press 'graph',or you have another problem

TI-84 help and support
TURN STAT PLOT OFF by [2nd] + [y=] (STAT PLOT)
or scrolling to option 4:STAT PLOT OFF
after I did this the function's graph popped up!!! (if yours does not, try to graph your equation again. DID IT WORK? if not, refer to the link above, appendix B to get help!

Go to stat plot (2nd y=) and make sure all the plots are off. This will allow you to graph again. Hope it helps

These suggestions got me in the ball park, but, where I failed was I had change the setting in zoom. Once I changes it back I was able to set the ymin to 0 or less. I had changed the zoom to #9zoomstat, changing it back to #6 zstandard solved my problem. Good Luck all

Invalid dim how do i get rid of that
Posted on Oct 15, 2008
This means you have an invalid command in your "stat plot" screen, even though you want to plot a normal graph. Go to your stat plot screen, and select option 4 (PlotsOff), Press Enter, and try to plot a normal graph again.

This message has several possible causes. In general, when you see this message you need to check carefully through what you've done to make sure that you used lists where you were supposed to, and nowhere else.

Do what he said, if you try to graph something with points than the calc will look forthe pionts even if there are none, thats were invaid dim comes from

You might want to check your stat plots and correct the lists used in them. The "INVALID DIM" will show up if you've configured the lists in the stat plots incorrectly. Remedying this is easy; just fix the lists used in your stat plot.
Example: If I had data in lists 1 and 2 but configured my stat plot so that it will use lists 1 and 3, I would receive this error.

I am getting an invalid dim error on sinreg data.... I checked my plot and they are off so when I checked stat edit I noticed I had nothing on there. What exactly am I supposed to plug in there. I entered random numbers and finally got data on sinreg but the data is wrong. So I really need to understand what exactly goes on stats? my graph 7sin(pi/6(x-4))+56...
