What is your auto shut-off set to? Does it come back on if you turn it off and then turn it back on? Or does it remain off? To save battery power, the camera turns off automatically after about 30 seconds of non-operation. To turn the camera back on, just press the shutter button. You can change the auto power-off time with the menu's Auto power off setting. Hope this helps

Canon EOS rebel XTi won't turn on. Changed batteries several times still nothing

Mcm,
Trying taking a Q-tip with some alcohol and cleaning the contacts inside the battery chamber. Also, you can take it to your local camera store and ask them to try it with one of their batteries to rule out if yours is dead.

Thank you.

How do you get to the video mode on the canon 400d rebel xti

There is no video mode on the Xti. The first Canon Digital Rebel to be equipped with video was the T1i, which came out almost 5 years later (2 years ago).

My canon rebel xti will not turn on. I have replaced all the batteries, and still nothing starts up.

There could be dust or other foreign objects in the battery slot, you might need to clean it out. If not, I would advise that you may need a replacement battery

I would highly suggest upgrading the firmware. Best thing to do first when having odd glitches like that.
