Frigidaire FEQ332ESO electric dryer: No Heat

I have a Frigidaire FEQ332ESO electric dryer that is ~ 18 moths old. It just quit drying clothes and there is no heat, although the drum does turn. I have checked both fuses on the 220V circuit and they are fine. I understand there may be a problem with the thermal cut out fuse or the heating element. It appears the heater element is in the back of the dryer drum. Where is the thermal cut out fuse located? How do I check the thermal cut out fuse and heater element to see if they are good or bad? What is the procedure for replacing these items? Is it normal for these to fail on such a new dryer? We do clean out the lint filter with every load and the exhaust vent ducting does have some lint, but does not appear to be plugged. My wife is not happy and I need help! Thanks.

There are usually two thermocouples in the dryer. One is somewhere at the front of the machine, under the lint trap, and the other is either right next to the heating element or behind the drum. They are usually a rectangular or diamond-shaped metal plate with a 1/2 inch high by 3/4 inch diameter cylinder on them. There are only two electrical leads on it. Unplug the leads and check with a continuity tester. If there is no continuity, the thermocouple is burned out. The most common cause of this is an obstruction in the exhaust hose at the back of the dryer to outdoors or a tight bend in that hose.

SOURCE: Frigidaire FEQ332ESO electric dryer: No Heat

If im looking at my papers right, this unit is a stacker, correct? The element is directly behind the drum on Frigidaire units. You can I believe remove the top, then remove the front cover by removing two screws on the inside the hold it to the cabinet. I believe the element and thermal fuse should be able to be tested from the top. After you remove the top, the wiring should be on the right rear side. The thermal fuse is round, and has two wires going to it. It can be located on the element housing itself, or on the rear bulkhead. To test this fuse, you will need a meter that reads continuity (ohms). Just attach the leads and see if you get a reading (be sure to remove one of the wires). The element wiring should also be in the element housing. You will see the wires coming off the top (all by themselves, not attached to a thermostat). Testing will be the same way. If you have to replace the element you will need some help more than likely. The drums in Frigidaires pop out. You will have to remove the belt, then (with towels wrapped around your hands to keep all your skin) lift the rear of the drum up to pop it out of the bearing holder (like a ball joint). Then you just unscrew the element, and replace. Its not uncommon anymore for anything to break on these new units, in fact, 90% of my business is in warranty call, usually within 3 months of purchase. Sorry, but would rather be truthful than blow smoke. Good luck, and let me know if there is any other questions you may have.

My roper dryer is spinning my electric meter like a top I replaced the heating unit but problem is still there on fluff dry no heat the meter crawls but low or high heat and the meter spins like atop

I am assuming that your talking about how much energy your using. When the unit runs on full heat, your electric meter will spin as you say like a top, this is quite normal. Electric dryers use tremendous amount of energy. Going on fluff your using just the normal 120v and not pulling many amps to run the dryer. However with the unit on high your pulling more amps and are now drawing 240v to operate your unit.
If your clothes are drying than it is not the heating unit.

If your concern is the amount of energy expended, there is always the old clothes line, which is energy efficient and if you live in a part of the world where the air is clean your clothes will smell fresher than if it came from a dryer.

Take too long time to get cloth dried

how much are you putting in ? Is it a 220 volt dryer? May have a dead line (electris) to heating coils, or thermaostat is not functioning and letting the dryer coils get to operating temperature. Your heat setting control may be faulty. I wouls look at heat control first.
