Question about Abit VA-10 333MHz FSB VIA VT8378 Chipset Socket A Motherboard with AGP 8x, LAN, 6 Channel Audio, USB... (MBSAABVA10SA)
I have upgraded a pc to an athlone 2500, the fsb for this is 333, but the bios seems to only set 266, so the new cpu is no fully recognised.
the mb is an abit va-10. how can i change the fsb
Unless the mobo is compliant with a front side bus speed of 333mhz, the cpu you have will only run at 266mhz max, in other words the cpu will down-clock to the 266mhz bus clock and therfore run more slowly. check with the mbo handbook, or on CMOS tosee if yoy can change the fsb setting. ask for more help if needed. Can you give me the full code of the mobo ?
