Question about Linkskey LKW-G750 USB 802.11G R (LKWG750) Wireless Adapter

Trouble installing under 98SE

The product alleges to be supported under 98SE but I can't get it installed. This is a legacy system that I just need to get some data off, so don't tell me to upgrade the OS as the solution. Installed the drivers first, rebooted, then connected the Linkskey, but it wants to know where the drivers are rather than just finding them and installing them. The install file is only an EXE setup file, and I've searched everywhere to see if I could find where it might have dropped whatever files it installed to no avail (I shouldn't have to anyway). Since it's just an EXE I can't point to the install file of course, and Windows definitely doesn't find the driver on its own so I'm basically stuck. No installation instructions on their website that I can find and I long since threw away the package it came in. If anyone can help get it installed under 98SE I'd appreciate the help. Thanks

Re: Trouble installing under 98SE

When it is asking for the drivers you have to force windows to look in the cd by telling it to look in your 'D' drive or whatever your cdrom drive is and then open up the folders that refer to WIN98SE and click on the .exe file.

You cannot install this adapter in a Win 7 computer because the drivers are not compatible with Win 7.
So far Belkin haven't updated the drivers for win 7 OS. The latest drivers for this adapter is compatible only with

" Windows 98SE, Windows Me, Windows 2000, Windows XP 32-bit, Windows Vista 32-bit "

Click here to see the belkin compatible drivers in the website.

Belkin wireless g dektop card part no f5d7000ak is not working in windows 7 64bit

If you are using an older Belkin Networking product, you may not have support for Windows 7 with your current software.
Software updates will be posted as they become available. Please check back if your product is not currently supported.
Some updates may still be in the process of going through Microsoft's official certification program. Although they have been thoroughly tested, they may present a warning message when the driver is being installed. These drivers will install on 32 bit operating systems but not on 64 bit systems, which is the normal and expected behavior.
Even though your product may currently not be supported under Windows 7, it may very well work on it; in the majority of cases, software and drivers for Windows Vista will work on Windows 7 without a problem.

I need a vista compatible driver for an IOgear gbu311 bluetooth wireless adapter

GBU311 does not have a Vista driver. Because it could only support the Win 2000, Win ME, 98SE, and XP. It does not support Win Vista and later versions.

If you wish to have a Bluetooth adapter that is compatible with Vista and Windows 7, you need to have the GBU421 Bluetooth 2.1 USB Micro Adapter. Here, check the link:

Thank you and good luck!
