Question about Acer Aspire 5100-5033 Notebook

1 Answer

MediaPlayer problem I am running Vista and using Media Player for music on my 1 1/2 year old HP laptop. I am noticing that some of the songs on my laptop that use to play fine are now "scratching". The ones that do this start fine for a few seconds and then it sounds like it scratches or skips as if a record or CD were playing. Another explaination of what it is doing is, that it sounds like the volume is up too loud and the speakers cannot handle it, but I've played other songs at the same volume level and they play fine. Does anyone know why it is doing this?

I have a hp elitebook 6930p the sound is not fine. I mean the music is playing fine but the words spoken in songs and movies are not audible I don't know what to do

Laptop's are not known for there sound, the smaller the laptop the smaller the speakers are by design. That said, try different Media players with Equalizers, Real Player, VLC, etc. You can find freeware Media Players here: http://www.filehippo.com/ OR a External Speaker, I use the Bose Sound Dock: http://www.bose.com/controller?url=/shop_online/digital_music_systems/sounddock_systems/sounddock/index.jsp

How do I download music onto this mp3 player using my laptop computer?

You should be able to just plug in the mp3 player to your laptop and then go into Windows Media Player and sync/transfer the songs you want from there or you can go to My computer and double click on the drive that has you mp3 player on it and drag music into it or if there is a music folder there then open that and drag and drop the music on to there..

Songs are loaded on to mp3 player, but they wont play, it just says no file, but when hooked up to pc i can pull the songs from the mp3 player, so i know the songs are on there

MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You need to convert your CDs to mp3 music files onto yourcomputer or download them from the Internet and then copy them to your MP3player.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player willcreate a MP3 music file for each music track.

I CANNOT delete music from my windows media player, even though it has the delete function. What is happening and why? thanks

Try deleting the files in Explorer while Media Player is running. WMP should notice that the files are being deleted and should remove them from the library too.Speaking for myself only.
See http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html for some helpful WMP info.

My hp pavilion dv5 model laptop will not play sound from the right speaker, but when i do the configuration test, it works fine. it will not work for movies, itunes, etc. i only just started to notice the...

Sounds like a software/driver issue. Search for updates for your audio drivers (visit the webpage of the company that built your sound card - Creative, Realtek, etc.) and see if you need an update. Updates keep your hardware working with Vista. Also try using a different media player. I haven't heard anything about loss of stereo sound in a player before, but I know Windows Media Player is notorious for annoying pops and clicks during playback, so it's possible.
