if you bang on the TV or try kicking the very center bottom of the tv and it works or flickers you got a loose solder connection somewhere on the board. I got the same problem. When it warms up the solder, around what ever pin it might be, makes better contact. I am looking into the problem and will post my finding when i figure it out.
No,bulb on this tv.Ur tv the power supply board finally gave out,5 years that a very good tv u got there, most tvs last only 3 or 3 1/3 years max.Than the power supply board or the other boards gave out.
Hello, This sounds like it began as a deflection problem and now has become a shutdown problem. due to excessive current (possibly due to the deflection problem becoming worse). if this is a deflection problem it may be a problem on the deflection board or in one of the yoke transformers which are usually connected to the deflection board. In any event I would suggest that you get a qualified TV technician to troubleshoot and repair this TV, due to the nature of this issue.
I gave this advice to someone with this same problem so here it is again:
It sounds like your shutdown circuit is being activated. This is due to excess current being drawn. This usually happens in the High Voltage section of the TV or one of the deflection stages. Due to the nature of this problem I would suggest that you take it to a local TV repair shop or have a TV repair person come out and take a look at the issue. The HV section is dangerous and should be dealt with by a qualified TV repair technician.
#1 When I turn on the TV the power button comes on then blinks 6 times then goes off for a few seconds then repeats the cycle. I have sound over my surround system during this time but no picture.
#2 My sound would crackle and pop every once and a while until now it does nothing. I have to watch it with the surround sound on.
